  1. man just go in with a touchup pen,,,they are so easy and clean to use :D just press and it puts just a little bit of paint down to cover up blemishes, works really really well, hardly noticeable after a clearcoat, and a buff
  2. it really gives it much better handleing and cornering for sure, very noticable,,,much better traction also with the wider tire ( i'm sporting some dunlop sports) the speedo is off like 2 miles an hour at 60-70. you can get it recalibrated if you would like, i didndn't bother i feel the same way is you do denny.....i think the later model stock LS rims look AWESOME on the earlier models, it makes the car look a lot more current.. no one ever blelieves my car is a '92
  3. actually its the H3C bulb your after the H3 bulbs has a wiring connector and you don't want that H3C is just a replacement bulb...
  4. you can just buy the conical filter for a cheap solution to direct air. it will still make the deep sucking sound and improve performace, the only draw back is you have to drill a hole in the stock intake hose, for the MAF to go in....or the car will start and die. you can order a full cold air kit from K&N that comes with the metal tubing, conical filter, and MAF adapter, i think it will set you back about $275 BTW, i had the system on my Eclipse GSX, its very easy to install, (just a bolt on)remove the OEM components ie...air box, unhook MAF, ect....install new hardware and your ready to rock... i think it gave the eclipse somewhere between 4-7 HP gain, shows a lot in low end torque
  5. all my tints b/f the LEX were 5% blackout and i loved it...however to keep with classy look of the LS i opted to leave the car untinted. i did look into the bronze style tint but the shop i went to didn't offer the tint over 20% and i wanted it much lighter than that i wouldn't go with the mirror tint, i think it would probably look cheap on the car. i honestly like the factory champange tint that comes on some LS, unfortunatly mine only has a very light film of it....i called around to some shops to see if they could replicate that but all of them said no they coulnd't as it was from the factory and it was a tint in the glass
  6. no its not a replacement. the swirl remover is a professional paint cleaning prodcut mostly intended for buffer and or rotary use. the Color X is also a cleaner but it is listed as a one step product for swirls, small scratches ect.... and for a wax, but i use it for a cleaner, (works great). it is also intended for use by hand (no need for a machine to break down product) unlike the swirl remover. hope this helps clarify :D
  7. they are concealed behind the 2 plastic covers in the front of the engine :)
  8. the prices if digital cameras has really dropped significantly in the past couple of years, they are really a lot more affordable now you ought to check out some prices when you get a chance, they really come in handy :D
  9. was the $60 price for the rebuit PS pump? if you are tight on money right now you should just replace the faulty part for now ie...the pressure hose, then go from there good luck
  10. oh ok i gotcha.....that sounds really convenient
  11. a good ole 3 foot snake light has always been a handy tool for me to have around. it has a heavy duty magnet on the end so you can adhear it to any metal piece of the car, or anything really, and just bend it around as to see what you are working on. :D also i have car ramps that you just drive up on to have the car off the ground so you can get under it to work or change the oil, that comes in handy also ;)
  12. in 1994 they went to the 16" wheel. and Denny all LS400 wheels will fit your car, look at mine i have 99 LS wheels on my 92. the tires that fit the 16" wheel are 225 60 16
  13. i believe www.lexus-part.com has them.... they are very very expensive though like the other members have said, ebay is you best bet, thats where i got mine you just have to be really pateint, and look every day ect.... good luck
  14. i have a great product that i used on that very same thing i forgot what it is, i have the bottle, i look tonight and post the name tom.
  15. great!!! i bet it looks really good, feel free to post some pics :D technically Color X is a one step product..... however, i peronally don't use it that way, i use it as a cleaner/polish, (its great for the step after claybar)... then follow with a glaze and then your favorite sealant wax.....( i use NXT, but everyone has his/her own favorite) colinite, zaino, zymol, meguiar's, mothers, ect............ just experiment with different sealant waxes, if you ask the members whats the best, easiest wax to use you will have 30 different responses and oppinions actually that has already been posted in the past.....you can do a search if you really need suggestions on a wax. good luck :D
  16. oh ok gotcha :P but is it a sticker you put on your car, or something you hang in the rear view mirror?? how do they know you have an EZ-Pass so you don't have to stop??
  17. what is EZ Pass?? i live in AR, i guess we don't have that. like you mentioned Denny, i've been on that pay toll turnpike going to Tulsa though
  18. the clay bar will take the hardened bird xxxx right off.
  19. they say to hand wash it in warm soapy water and let it air dry it also says that the dirtier it gets the better it works but like you, down here in AR the pollen is really bad. the good ole CCD works awesome though :D
  20. yes, i use clay on a regular basis its a must for a great finish, also a must for good prep work. i use the clay magic bar, it works great. like what was mentioned b/f, don't drop it, or u will have to replace it
  21. sounds to me like a front suspension piece (pieces) are outta wack... <_< the previous owner could have hit a curb or something of that nature really hard and knocked all kinds of hardware out of place. its definately something like that if its spending that kinda time in the alignment shop good luck
  22. blake that looks awesome man B) its all about restoring ya know...... it looks brand new inside,i bet you can sleep better knowing your car has pristine interior now. :D great job!!!!!
  23. GEEZ!!! was that after the detail blake??? that looks awfull man. you are in need of some major work on the hood my freind, and that does include a buffer. :o i coulnd't go to sleep at night knowing my hood looked like that.
  24. its called "no touch" thats the name oddly enough, just like it works its just no touch tire foam, you spray it on and its a white foam, then it just disapears into a shine or gloss. no wiping necessary ;)
  25. your right SW, thats why i posted those comments,,, where is the prep work??? prep work is the most important step,,,my point exactly
