  1. Congratulations Slotfixr on your purchase, and welcome to the LOC! About your question, when you say it's under a lot of tension do you mean it's hard to move, period? I have a 95 and in the owners manual is states that half way through the opening of the trunk, the lid is suppose to slow to allow any water to drain on to the rear glass gradually, thus minimizing the amount of water that would possibly spill in to the open trunk.
  2. Sorry to hear about your experience. I sold many Nissans to my family members and there cars are still in their driveways or they traded up for new ones. My sister bought a new 05 Pathfinder from me and she beats the hell out of it with the way she drives. She puts gas in it, and changes the oil and the only problem she had with hers was that the passenger side mirror would adjust up and down, but not right and left. Mileage on the ticker is almost 70,000.
  3. Welcome to the LOC lexusboy! I can't help you out on the first questions, but on the latter I would like to add. As you've figured out that you can open the windows and sunroof by holding down the unlock button on the key remote, you can also close all the windows and sunroof by placing the key in either the driver or front passenger door lock cylinder and holding it in the lock position.
  4. Guilty as charged LOL Chicken----------->Strips
  5. I agree with most of you in respect that comparing the Murano and RX to be apples to oranges, but strangely enough, when I sold Nissans in '03-'05 the majority of people that were checking out the Murano, were indeed comparing it to the RX. They liked the sleek look of it and the way it drove. The styling on the Highlander and Pilot at the time, they called it bland and a bit boring.
  6. 95 LS400 I've never driven it fast enough for the governer kicked in, but most say its 155 mph.
  7. Fascinating... If I had that photographic of a memory how easy school would have been. A friend of mine in school was really good at memorizing. He would slack off in school the whole bimester and then grab someone else's notes and study them just before the exam and get an A+. Nothing as remarkable as the autistic kid with savants, but it still amazes you on not only how the human mind works, but also it's capacity.
  8. Congratulations bud, you've done some great work thus far. Welcome to the LOC!
  9. Thats correct. Also, if you put your key in the driver's or passenger's door lock and hold it in the lock position, it will close all windows and sunroof.
  10. Man that's bad a$$. I've yet to see one in person
  11. I think rubber always has a smell to it. I'm sure I would try and wash them thoroughly with soap and water before putting them in the car. That might ease the strength of the smell.
  12. LOL, I just told my partner (a devoted GM afficionado and Lexus hater) His silence was deafening, now he's spitting nails LOL
