  1. I am looking into doing the same thing, from my research I found the following websites: 1. http://www.crutchfield.com/m_770/iPod-MP3-...ters.html?tp=15 2. http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?request...adfc55dfedf543a You will not need to splice any wires with this product. When I was heavy into car stereos I used sound gate equipment. they made an excellent product. Hope this helps:)
  2. I need new brake pads and the Lexus dealer is asking 75.95 for the front pads for my 02 GS 300 I am in the mortgage industry and times are tight.
  3. This is an OEM kit so I do not think it will be difficult; try it yourself 1st if not let a professional complete the install.
  4. If your car did does not have the factory nav, it would be cheaper (and less of a hassle) to sell your car and buy one with nav. I saw exactly what you need in regards to the double DIN harness. I will check and have it for you soon.
  5. I have a set of 245/35/20 on my gs300. What is the correct tire pressure. The wheels were shipped with 40 PSI but is this the correct PSI for daily driving? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  6. thanks, I decided to go with the toyo tires.
  7. I installed my wheels; I decided to go with the Toyo's. There is a definite difference in the ride; the ride is not as refined as with the 16s. Please note this is still a work in progress. I am going to lower the car but I have not decided whether to use the springs and shock or the coilovers. Here is a pic of her, wheels just installed.
  8. In a former life I designed car audio systems. I am an a/d/s man myself but my last system used Rockford amps. It sounds like a ROCKFORD FOSGATE PUNCH 360 (check eBay or a pawn shop) should meet your needs. The amp is 180x2 and 2 ohm stable. Rockfords run a bit on the warm side but you can get a good used one for cheap money. I would recommend you purchase at least 4 gauge power wire and likewise for the ground. Put your money into the power cables and a 1 Farad Stiffening Capacitor (mathematically you do not need a full farad but more is always better). The cap will allow for sudden bursts (BASS :) ) of energy with out a direct draw from your battery. You mentioned the battery dies after 3 songs, how loud are you playing your system and what size battery are you using (CCA)?
  9. The tires i am looking at are Toyo Proxes-4 or the Falken 452 in 245/35/20.
  10. The molecule thing, yes! the rest :chairshot:
  11. take it to a good mech and bodyshop. have the frame checked out.
  12. I would steer away from the air ride systems. I have a Mark VIII and it cost me 1500 to repace the air shocks.
  13. I have had my 02 GS300 for about 6 moths now its time to get started. I ordered a set of 20x8.5 Enkei LM1s (should be here by the end of the week) and toyo tires (245/35/20) . I plan to lower her about 1 to 1.5 inches but I can not decide which method is better. Obviously with 20s I am not a racer. I understand that the 20s will degrade the ride of the car but I still want the best ride available. I read the forums in regards to shocks/springs and coil overs but I am still undecided. Please provide your opinions; 1 Eibach springs ($280) and KYB GR-2 Shocks/Struts Set ($450.00 Front and rear(to the door)) or 2 Tein coil overs ($1200) If you recommend the coil overs, will the ride be noticeable superior to the shocks and springs option? Help, before my wife checks the savings account. :o
  14. I bought a set of Enkei wheels so I am selling my OEM wheels. The wheels are in very good condition, no visible scratches or peeling.
