    Welcome to LOC! Sweet ride!
  2. I guess things just need to be put in perspective. The monthy payment on a car is what it is...someone making 30k a year with a payment of $750 a month is one thing...someone making six figures...not that big of deal. Also there are many people that can flat out pay cash for the car if they want to but choose to use the banks money instead since the rates are so low. My payments on my GX are over $900. That was with paying $8k down and tier one credit for financing. My corperation is paying the payments and the interest is written off... But to be honest financing it for 5 years it isn't that big of a deal...even at 0% payments would be $866 a month. But what I see is a larger problem is financing cars for 6-8 years. This is where you will get upside down quick on a car if you are not careful...one thing to toss a bunch of money down and stretch the payments but if you need to go 6+ years to afford the car...move on and find another car. I still have a $4,000 loan on the X5 at .9% that I could stroke a check and pay it off but why? .9%??? Just my 2 Cents!
  3. Welcome to LOC! Will your sunroof close if you keep the button pushed? Sometimes the buttons will need to be reprogramed if the battery dies or is changed. It seems like the sunroof won't open or close but it will if you hold the button down. If that is your problem just let it cycle through and it should start working. Otherwise not sure what to say other than check the tracks or go to the dealer?
  4. Well I could go on for hours about this.. 1) DON'T SLAM MY DOORS. 2) DON'T TOUCH MY RADIO. 3) DON'T PUT YOUR FEET ON MY DOORS OR ANTHING BUT THE FLOOR MAT. My wife and I just had a discussion about #1 and #3!
  5. Absolutely get it repaired as soon as you can or it will split. Many insurance carriers will waive your deductible if you get it repaired too.
  6. Take a look on ebay...you may get lucky...
  7. I'll try that. It makes the most sense. Do you think however, that given the physical description of the building and the distance, that the signal could have have traveled that far? Could have happened while you were walking in to the store? Since you had on your "skinny" jeans! SW is right about the sunroof not opening up until the windows are about half of the way down too. So that must be it...
  8. Welcome to LOC! Post some pics! By the way I may of missed this is it AWD? The trans problems are most common with the AWD not the FWD.
  9. CD I think he is saying the same thing that you have to hold the button down and continue to hold to keep the windows going down. The odd thing is that the sunroof didn't open. If it was tilted as DC mentioned that would answer why the sunroof didn't open. But for the windows to be exactly 1/2 way down and the sunroof not opened at all that cant be it. You sure you didn't leave the windows half down while you were jamming out to your tunes? Paul I think you may need to chalk this one up to CRS (can't remember s h i t) I hear that it comes with increased age! :)
  10. Strange...Strange...Strange! There is no way you could have had something hit the unlock button for a few seconds? For the windows to go all of the way down and sunroof to open fully you have to continue to hold the unlock button down I think...when you stop pressing the button and if you hit another button the windows stop going down...so this would be my only guess as to what could have happened...
  11. There was a way to get in the service menu on my previous 04 rx330... Can't remember how but in there there was an option to turn the camera on.
  12. Based on his post about the locks also not working I am not sure that this will work. It's been a long time since I have had to do it but if I remember correctly the locks ail continue to work. But this was the first thing I thought as well. Get this I know someone who has a rx330 and they had the battery changed and all of the windows stopped working so they took the car back to jiffy lube where the battery was changed. Jiffy Lube sent the car to the Gemini Service center who diagnosed all the window modulators bad. They said they were going to charge like $1400. Anyway I knew this person and when they told me about it I told them the little trick above and they all worked fine. Give it a shot but like I said to my knowledge your locks should still work but I may be wrong.
  13. You are not the only one I swear my wife loves to get hers as close to that on the BMW too. Funny everytime I get in the thing is on E with the light on. Me every once in awhile I check to make sure my gas light is still working! :) but when the gas light comes on in the GX and you only get about 14-17 MPGs you start looking for gas stations! :)
  14. Could not agree more with this!
  15. As two wise men: :whistles: have already said don't negotiate payments...ever. Know what you need to get the purchase price around to fit the payment you are looking for. Know what the terms of the loan will be before you ever-even step on the lot. Negotiate like you are going to flat out buy the car and just tell them you will worry about the financing later...you may use your own financing or you may use them depending on their rates. It is easy to use an auto payment calculator to figure out what you can afford to spend.
  16. If it is like my previous rx330 that just opens the door but doesn't activate the power door...
  17. Paul most of the time the court dismisses the points associated with the ticket. But if the violation shows even with no points the insurance companies can still use it. I wouldn't worry about it too much because you should not be charged with the accident and the violation both by the insurance company. They may both be listed but the states that I am in the insurance company can only charge you with one of the violations not both if they are for the same incident. If you went to court and they tossed it out it wouldn't show on your MVR so there should be no way the insurance company could even know about it. Good luck.
  18. And what fun would that be? I am only kidding seriously I have slowed down quite a bit in my old age! :) The tag covers were the main reason I was getting pulled. I have taken them off so hopefully I am good now. Got stopped once since I have had them off. But I have been good lately.
  19. Man I need some of those cards! lol actually I have a few state boys insured with me, as well as the dispatcher for the local police and the state police departments. I don't usually even do any name dropping but I am just respectful and do the whole I am wrong sir I am sorry by the way any chance this could be a warning? :)
  20. Was going to tell you that I just closed on a building and the financing wasn't bad. I think as long as you put 20% down and your credit is good you should be fine. But they actually ask you to show proof of your income? :whistles: What's that all about! :)
