Welcome to LOC! I had a RX and I love the extra room that the GX has. Are you looking for a 460 or a 470? I prefer the 460 mainly because of the 3rd row seats vs the side seats that were in the 470. We have loved everything about our gx460... But your gas mileage won't be quite as good as your rx400! :)

If you could write the lease payment off you may be better off to lease. I have leased one car and honestly didn't like it much. Just something about being locked into the miles and length of time I had to keep the car that I didn't like. But I keep my cars like new and like to get new cars often so leasing is something I still consider.

What could possibly draining the batteries that fast. Even if you held down the button continually I can't see it draining the battery in a day.

I really don't see the point for 3 post for this. I have merged them. Now IMHO the calendar was of little use you couldn't even do anything with it. My old rx330 you could input events. My gx460 nothing. Either way I use my iCloud calendar for everything so I could care less about a calendar in the car. Sorry I am of little help with the NAV. But I would hope that the route preview is still there. I use that anytime we take a trip with my wife's GX. Good luck!

It was 8 whole degrees when I got up this morning! I don't like this weather at all! My range rover was a blast to drive in the snow though. We didn't get that much here. And I would be embarrassed for anyone to see how dirty my ride is! :)

You should be able to just put the lever in off mode. First setting is off then auto, low, etc.

Just out of curiosity...why? Especially if it will cost you more? And that is not to mention by getting the bare minimums you will have little protection for yourself if hit by a uninsured driver which is happening more and more these days. Seriously do what you want but a good independent agent can find you a good price with good coverage and it will most likely be less expensive than if you went with the cheapest thing that you think you can get. The only person you would be hitting is yourself by insisting on the minimum limits. Trust me I know what I am talking about I own an insurance agency with two locations and we represent well over 15 carriers. To bad you aren't in one of my states that I write in or I would run you some numbers so you could see exactly what I mean.

There is no one best company honestly! There are so many rating factors that can change the rates and each company has a sweet spot. And actually getting bare minimum limits can actually end up costing you much more. Most companies use this as a rating factor and that in itself has a huge impact on rates. Call a local independent insurance agent that has several carriers and they can do the work for you and shop around and compare prices but please be careful saying you want minimum coverages because minimum limits are way too low!

You know SW it must have been the Cherokee. Didn't get past the front when I was like Man that is just terrible looking. I have had two jeeps and I hear you loud a clear. As much as the wife likes the grand Cherokee don't think I am willing to go that route with the relability issues.

Speaking of Jeep. What were they thinking? Just saw a new Grand Cherokee the front is aweful looking. The lights look so bad it just is about the only thing I could look at.

NC- hope your little girl gets all the best care she can get. You may want to look in and see what your premiums would be on the exchange and see if you can find a plan that it would be covered. Then you could opt out of your employers plan or take your family off your employers plan and you keep it. May be a option for you to consider. There are many things wrong with the insurance industry but the number one thing that has been made worse is the price. It has raised premiums and just like you said deductibles and co pays have now went up. The whole thing is a mess and I agree I think it is blowing up on its own. But the damage is done. A much better approach would have been to have put in policies there that would have prevented cancelations and set up state or federal funds for people who couldn't qualify for coverage on the open market. And I do think everyone should have access to health care too.
