  1. Sure if you sit in back I am almost sure you can start it by taking the DVD out and putting it back in. Make sure you hit the cd aux button twice (I think) up front for audio. Good luck!!!
  2. This has been awhile since I have done this. My previous 04 RX330. When you start the DVD from the NAV menu...you should be able to turn it on the rear screen. You may want to sit in back and see if it comes on when you have it on up front. From there when you start driving the front screen will turn off but the rear should remain on. I never used the remote ever...and I always started the DVD from the front.
  3. Insurance is my business and I can tell you for sure that location makes a huge difference in rates. I love when someone from NY moves to my area I normally cut their rates down by at least 50% with much better coverage as well. Now I think it is foolish to pay that much for your car insurance. I am not trying to pick on you but there are much better things you could do with that income-and if you are young? you could be putting that money away. If your state offers a state fund you may want to try to obtain insurance there. In MD they have a fund for people in high risk situations and that may help. Age breaks are at 21 and 25 with most carriers but until you get your rate down you need to find a independent agent to re-market your auto policy for you every 6 months. If you were only in MD, VA, or DE I would love to help you out. And thank you for all you do! (Fireman)
  4. Well I would try to get a couple thousand off for that alone.
  5. The miles wouldn't worry me much...however I only keep cars a few years and trade or sell well before I get too many miles on them. My GX460 has just hit 40,000 miles and I think we are going to keep it maybe for one more year but I am considering getting a extended warranty and just keeping it...since it is the kid hauler! But I guess it is all up to what my tax guy tells me when that time comes! I know many people that have 200k + on theirs.
  6. I don't think 1992's had Day time lights but I could be wrong? It should be rather easy to tell if they are high beams or low beams at night. Check the bulbs and see if they are bad? But I wouldn't think both sides would go out like that either.
  7. Not sure what else it could be? Will your unit play a DVD on the front screen when still with E. Brake depressed? If so see if that works just out of curriosity?
  8. Guess it is up to you, I love our GX460. Have driven a GX470 many times and they are great too! I wouldn't be happy about the fact that they are saying non smoker if it is clear that it has been smoked in myself. Either way Welcome to LOC!
  9. So what you are saying is they are backwards? Low comes on when should be HI and HI comes on when should be LOW Beams? I don't know how that could happen either? Maybe someone else can chime in and help out...
  10. Have you checked your fuses? Kind of strange they would both be out.
  11. I kind of liked the part of Gone in 60 Seconds where Angelina Jolie oh...forget about it...my head is in the gutter! :)
  12. Responded to other post no need to post twice I have merged your post. Welcome to the club by the way!
  13. Have you cleaned your terminals good? Disconnect them and take a wire brush to them then reconnect everything and see if that helps?
  14. As far as the Nav have you tried zooming in? Some streets will not show if you are zoomed out to far. Also not sure if you can use the player with Bluetooth. Our 10 GX has it. Good luck.
  15. I am no mechanic but it sounds like the tranny to me. I would have a mechanic check it out.
  16. I knew what you meant! :)
  17. I hear you. But as I said this was a new loaner I think 2000 miles maybe. The cars JD and CR report on obviously have premium packages. This one must have been a base model. It was jnot impressive at all. I am a Lexus fan but I wasn't a fan of that car.
  18. Mike- Welcome to LOC! Sorry to hear about the Bugs in the alarm system. I am hopeful someone with more knowledge can jump in here and help you out but are you sure pulling a fuse won't take care of the problem? I would just think that would be the easiest way to disable the alarm system...
