  1. Going by memory here but if you have NAV go into the MENU or INFO when you see the phone. When you see the listed phones you do not want you can un pair them. I had to unpair one on my GX460 awhile back it should be the same process.
  2. It's strange I remember the first IS loaner I ever had and I loved it. I actually have asked for them quite a few times. I just felt this was a step back...but I'm not sure about packages and that could be it. That orange light looked cheesy though. Look at how Jaguar has theirs change.
  3. Yea Paul I hear you on the ride. Friend of mine just got a new ES that had almost every package you can get and it is nice. My problem is that it just seems companies are trying to cut corners everywhere. To me it cheapens the brand and I was actually looking forward to sporting around the is350 for awhile. I took my son for a ride to the bank with me but the car just didn't give me that "feeling" of "wow" and I was disappointed. As I said I have no idea what packages this had or didn't have on it. I'm not knocking the IS either it is just like Mercedes and BMW they do it too. All I know is when it comes time to replace the GX in a couple years I hope they don't cheapen the new model.
  4. What are your thoughts on the quality of the new Lexus models? I just had a new IS350 loaner and to be honest if that was my first experience with Lexus it would have been my last. This wasn't a ragged out old model it was new and had only 2000 miles on it. But the interior was so cheap feeling to me, the leather was so thin I thought I could rip it or tear it. The dash and clusters seem as if they are from a model that should cost thousands less. I am not picking on the IS either. I have felt the same way in the previous RX loaners the hybrid and the 350 both I have had too. But one of the most disappointing things was the drive of the IS350 to me. It sure did not make me feel as if I was driving a Lexus at all. The tone of the exhaust was muted by the engine which to me didn't sound good. The cluster when you start getting to high RPMs would have a orange light which is not quite what I am used to seeing at all. I have driven other models that change colors like that but actually look quite nice this looked like a cheap bulb that I would have popped in when I was in high school. Now to be fair I don't have a clue what packages these loaners have but it just wasn't what I was expecting when I sat in a new Lexus. Ones I purchase have the top of the line trim so I know that would have something to do with it but man the dash, the materials everything. Maybe with the upgrades it will be better but even my previous 04rx330 was much more luxurious than either of the past few loaners I have had. So how does everyone else feel?

Why would you sign up just to post this? That's stupid!
  6. I am curious...did you ask what it was first? I always ask how much the service is and what is included. Just wondering...
  7. No way as "selective" as I am about picking out a parking spot. And I can't wait to see how the insurance industry handles the first claim. There was NO "driver"
  8. Have to agree I have bought a few items from them and I have even given my dealer a chance and told them I can get it for $xxx do you want to come close and they never do!
  9. PM DCFish. I bet he can find it.
  10. Your pic doesn't show well. What is peeling? Is it the whole wood trim? If so that makes more sense. What I meant it is real wood...laminate or not it isn't plastic that should be peeling off. I have had and have been in a number of these cars and I have never seen what you are describing. If they have replaced your trim under warranty this many times there is obviously a problem. Is the whole backing coming up?
  11. I priced the tires on my Range Rover with th OE Michelins that come on the 20" rims they are a cool $480 a tire! I shouldn't need tires on that for awhile only 1900 miles.
  12. This is the first one I have put tires on in a while too!
  13. No Paul. I will keep the kid hauler aka happy meal transporter for another year or two. We only have 37,xxx on the GX and I tell you these new tires it rides just like it did when it was new. But I'm not ready to let the wifey take my Range Rover either...don't even know what I would look for if I was looking right now. I am 100% happy with the two cars we have.
  14. Man got a call today...wife with the kids she hit a sharp rock and cut her left front tire. So with 37k on her I knew tires would be needed soon. I put on the same michelins that came on the GX. The latitudes. They have been a great tire. It's funny how new tires and an aljgnment make your car feel new! I also have to say Lexus MotorClub was great. They dispatched a AAA guy he was there in 10 mins and had the spare on. Wish that was the extent of my bad news but after dropping a grand in tires one of my offices Ac unit went up there is another 3k! Great day!
  15. I just don't know what could be peeling it is real wood? Is it the backing coming loose?
  16. Not saying that you are doing anything but are you using any harsh cleaners?
  17. Army...also sorry to hear. As Lenore said keep your head up.
