sometimes by mistake you generally press the truck lock button in the glove compartment and that will lock the truck from opening in valet mode i guess the key you have is also the valet key so it wont open the trunk check that

just to try to unplug the battery and let it sit for a while maybe 10 mins and then reconnect and see if it helps, i know this sounds crazy and unrelated but its soo easy it cant hurt to try.

So i guess i have to replace that power steering pump guys i am also kinda not in favour of putting in additives as you dont really know what all they are doing in there and is it all good or all bad so ill just wait till its nice weather out there get to it till then ill just drive as its very small i havent seen the level in the reservoir go down thanks guys

how long do u thing this job will take, where and what is the power steering rack,is it the rack and pinion steering column or is it something near the pump, as i see it its just leaking at the pump i am waiting for it to get a little warm out there and ill probably do it on sunday just to try i still wanna try some of the power steering additives and see if it helps and maybe i can get by it and if it doesnt work ill change the pump.Do u think getting the additive in there is going to be bad for the system in anyway

Hi guys i just noticed that my power steering pump on my 99 es is leaking a little oil i checked the bolt at the bottom and its tight so i guess its the o rings in the pump do i get the power steering kit where i can replace all the rubber o rings or do i have to get another power steering pump or can i try some power steering stop leak additives, and which one might you guys recommend to put in the reservoir to try to stop the leak. Its not easy to get to the pump so i want to try to put in some stop leak and see if it helps.Will it be a good idea? thanks

there is always some coolant remaining in the head so u want to drain the presant coolant and put in the new red coolant in then run the car to hot temp so the thermostat kicks in and opens out the remaing green coolant from the head into the radiator then again flush it and put in new red fluid. HOpe that helps

I think there is a buildup of carbon in the egr valve try to clean it repeatedly for a couple of months and it should stop the obd scanner should also tell you where the problem might be like the oxygen sensors or the egr valves but its hard to get rid of it as the problem code might point in one direction and the problem might be something else as they are all related

I had gone to a lexus dealer and asked about this problem and the lady said its mainly seen on the 1997 years and they still fix em if you have em they charge 95$ and hour and it takes 4 hours to take the valve covers off and check em

yup 1992-1996 has been the year ur car comes under but the engine and most of the upgrade happened in 1994
