Perhaps most people who wanted to do it already have. I follow this pretty closely - it's a hobby - and have never heard of anyone being able to retrofit a Bluetooth phone address book interface into an older pre-Bluetooth Lexus navigation system. I looked at the details for the Quick Connect Harness for a 2003 LS430 this morning and now see the following caution: "This harness is completely plug and play except for 2 speaker connections- instructions are provided. Because the harness connects to just 2 speakers, it is not suggested for the music streaming kits such as the Parrot MK series. In this case, a custom install between the amp and speakers is required - consult your installer." You could probably also get music streaming with a Parrot MKi kit by hooking it to an FM transmitter like somebody did on a Nokia phone kit on a thread I saw on ClubLexus a year or two ago - I think it was on an older GS. Sound quality might be a problem. You don't have many options and there are fewer all the time as aftermarket Bluetooth kits fade away as Bluetooth becomes common on even the cheapest vehicles.

Go by the maintenance schedule in the maintenance booklet for your your 2004 RX330 which clearly states that the transmission fluid, differential fluid and transfer case oil should be changed at specific intervals and under specific conditions. If you do not have a maintenance booklet, you can view the one for your 04 RX330 at https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/ I just now reviewed it and confirmed what I just told you.

And did you find any switches on the back side of your steering wheel?

As inexpensive as updates have become (<$200), I absolutely recommend updating your GPS maps. If you are talking about the "drip prevention function", it can be turned off for the rear window wiper as described in your owners manual. Turning it off for the front wipers is not listed as a customizable feature.

According to the 2001 GS owners manual on the Lexus website - http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM30579/pdf/om1sourc/2001om/01gs430o/22.pdf - the steering wheel audio controls were only on the GS430. Either someone added the module to your GS or it is really a control for a dealer installed phone system. Do the buttons on your steering wheel look like the ones shown in the owners manual for the GS430?

The alarm "should" sound if the car is unlocked from the inside while the alarm is set or if someone somehow opens a door from outside the car while the alarm is set. This function is dependent on the "door open" sensors on the doors working properly. Glass Breakage Sensors have only recently been introduced on Lexus vehicles. Are the break-in's happening while your car is parked in the same general area? If so, it would appear that somebody knows that your car is an easy mark. Are you leaving any valuable items visible while your car is parked? ... i.e. Is anything being stolen? And, yes, some aftermarket alarms include glass breakage sensors. It might be possible to add glass breakage sensors to your current OEM security system ... maybe contact a company that installs alarms.

There have been a number of threads on other forums about doing this on a variety of 2001-up Lexus models. The Parrot Mki9000 series Bluetooth kit with a "Quick Connect" plug and play harness should give you EVERYTHING you are asking for and more including A2DP audio streaming. There is a lengthy thread in the audio section of the Club Lexus forum about how to tap into the CD changer connector to install an RCA jack. I think it requires "playing" a blank CD while using the RCA jack. A cleaner and inexpensive install is done by ebay vendor Factoryradios. They are California and will add an RCA jack to the front of almost any Lexus radio or add an RCA jack on a cable from the back of the radio so that the RCA jack can be put in the center console, glove compartment, etc. If I remember correctly, the Factoryradios method hacks into the FM section of the head unit and people have reported that the sound quality is as good as from tapping into the CD changer. I posted a photo and other information about this some time ago -- search this forum for "Factoryradios".

What did you expect when you step back two model years? Your 2007 ES350 had a generation 5 nav system. Your 2005 LS430 has a generation 4 nav system. The version in current Lexus vehicles is generation 6. There have been several discussions of products that get rid of the "I agree" on pre-gen5 systems. One from VAIS is mentioned by jayclapp in http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls430/582330-ls430-navigation-cd-dvd-update.html but you might want to verify with the vendor whether or not it really does. I didn't find pressing an "I agree" button on a nav screen a few times today to be a problem.

You will find far more bad independent repair shops than Lexus dealer service departments. Look for an independent repair shop that specializes in Lexus vehicles, and, if possible, owned and staffed by former Lexus dealer employees. Ask Lexus owners you see around Denver for recommendations - a gas station or car wash is a great place to exchange information with other Lexus owners. I carry business cards from the indie Lexus specialty repair shop I use and have passed out many since this particular shop opened in 1996 - the shop is owned by a former Lexus dealer service writer and his mechanics were formerly at the Lexus dealer.

Also make sure that the battery terminals and cable clamps are spotlessly clean - shiny and bright. Use baking soda mixed with water to take off any powdery gunk and a wire "battery brush" to clean the battery terminals and insides of the battery clamps. After everything is cleaned up and reconnected, coat the battery terminals/cable clamps with a thin layer of petroleum jelly. Of course, it is possible to get a bad battery that doesn't last long. I thought the battery in my LS was failing in 2010 but all I needed to do was clean the terminals and cable clamps.

Some CD's are burned without "CD Text" which is explained at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text When you burn CD's at home, the play list information cannot be burned to the CD if it is not in the files used as input.

akme, I've used Michelin H-rated Primacy MXV4 225/60-16 tires on my 2000 LS400 since Spring 2010 - except during winter - and I have found them to provide an exceptionally soft and comfortable ride - the softest riding tire I've used on LS cars during the 22 years I've owned them. Your perception of the ride quality provided by these tires is very unusual and I have to wonder if something else is going on. Does your LS430 have air suspension? If it does, is the damping switch set to "Normal" and not to "Sport"?

If it is like my 2000 LS400, look for hidden fasteners behind velcro flaps behind the head rests. And there may also be one or more fasteners behind a flap behind where the rear armrest is when it is in the "up" (closed) position.

Last time I bought a 10-pack of OEM oil filters for my 00 LS, I paid right at $4 per filter at a Toyota dealer including the oil plug washer which should be replaced at every oil change. All years of the LS400/LS430 use the same oil filter which is the same oil filter used by a number of Toyota V8 SUV's.

The timing belt drives the water pump on all Toyota/Lexus models with timing belts I've dealt with. As I have recounted numerous times on this forum, the timing belt on my first LS was trashed in the mid 1990's when its water pump seized at about 75,000 miles. I had left my house on the way to work a couple of minutes before it happened, thought I smelled coolant, and then BANG! I was fortunate to be able to coast the car into a convenience store parking lot.

Yes, my understand is that, of the many terms used for this part, radius rods/arms is one of them. OEM strut bars come with the bushings already installed. The bushings are available separately - at least on the aftermarket - but the cost of pressing new bushings into existing strut bars can be more expensive than replacing the entire strut bar assembly. People have sometimes noted/complained that pressing aftermarket bushings into OEM strut bars have not provided very good results.
