  1. I got this 2005 LS430 really nice from a dealer in FL 2 months ago with 35,000 miles. The steering wheel plastic(?) covering the wood has carcked and peeled in one section at the top of the wheel. Leather on wheel is fine like new. My Nalley Lexus dealer here tells me they would replace it but cost over $2500.00. Has any one got a solution to offer? !Removed!
  2. I bought this 2005 LS430 in December with 35,000 miles on it, and found that there was vibration in the steering wheel. Took it to my dealer Nalley Lexus for balance and one of the Michelin Primacy 225/55R17 tires could not be balanced--they took tire off rim to R/O loose material inside it but found none. Rebalance not possible. But they found a new Dunlop 5000 on the spare in trunk and balanced easily placed in position R Rear and the Michelin is now in trunk as the spare. The car rides smooth and W/O noise now! Has any one had a Michelin balance problem or am I dealing with a service group that cannot get it right? !Removed!
  3. Each start up requires I tap touch screen "agree" box on my otherwise great 2005 LS430. I did not need to do that on the 2007 ES350 which I traded in. Lexus service says NOT FIXABLE? This tedious procedure needs to be gone ASAP. Can anyone suggest a fix or service? Sounds like a legal soft ware glitsh? Lexus advises "was put in those generation 3 units by a nondriver at the software company" which supplied the navigation units to Lexus. Thanks in advance, byrne2rad
