  1. I would go in and ask the receptionist at the front desk for an application. She should have one and then be able to let you speak to a Parts or Service Mgr.I do all my hiring and unfortunately firing but what I do is find my person and then schedule a final interview with my General Mgr.If you get a position at a Lexus Dealership you will be required to go to some training to learn the "Lexus Way".I have a guy that came from the aftermarket and he just does not get it.When I get mad I say"We don't work at a Chevy Dealership, what are you doing"?I started out as a Parts Driver and now run a Dept. at our Dealership so you can start at the bottom and make a good living if you want.
  2. Have you tried here? http://www.taprecycling.com/ .I've had good luck with them for used parts.
  3. Yea,the white is great looking but I bet the Black is awesome with the special wheels.Congrats on getting one,I wish I could step up but I can't do payments.I have a car allowance at work so my IS runs me $78.00 a month.I love the GS though.
  4. Looks awesome! If you get the right springs you won't lose your ride.I lowered my IS300 1.5 inches and everyone that has ridden in it says it rides better than factory because of the progressive rate springs.I love those wheels and have been contemplating a wheel upgrade but the Ohio roads scare me with big wheels.
  5. We got a white GS450h on our showroom floor right now that has a sticker of $60k.BEAUTIFUL car,I want one but out of my price range.
  6. Did you use a factory compressor/clutch or aftermarket?A friend of mine bought a aftermarket one that lasted 6 months so the money he saved didn't work out.He bought it off E-bay from a seller that had a ton of positive feedback but 6 months later had been kicked off for problems.
  7. I wash my car so often it doen't get a chance to build up.Whatever you do don't put anything behind the wheels like those "Kleen Wheel" products. They hold heat in and will warp rotors,I don't know if they even still make them but stay away from anything that will build heat.I think my dust comes from my speeding on freeway ramps. My other performance car is a 450hp Fox body Mustang that handles like crap.
  8. I am getting the 3M type bra on mine as stated above the leather ones are the worst thing you can do.You can get just about everything covered as I am going to do the front of the hood, bumper, mirrors and front edge of the fenders. My car is 1CO also and in the 3K miles I have driven it I have picked up more chips than I am comfortable with.
  9. I get on here to talk and share info about my IS300 and get get talked to like I would talk to my 5 year old son for trying to help some one out.I read the rules and will abide by them but I would appreciate next time a PM instead of a response like the one I just got.
  10. I know my IS300 does fine in the garage in the winters.I have a 4runner for the snow and mud.My IS becomes a garage queen when the snow hits.
  11. Break it in hard it will run hard.I drive my cars hard from day 1 but I also maintain them religiously.I have a 4runner with 254k,I just gave my LS400 to my parents as a second car(They are both retired) with 272k and my wifes Sienna has 130k.I drive them like you hate them.My 88 Mustang has 100k but it's on it's 4th engine.I attribute that to the bottle in the trunk but it's FUN.
  12. The only problem with an air filter you oil is when you clean it.DO NOT put too much oil on it or it will hurt your air flow meter.I have seen I bet 20 cars come in the shop with engine lights on and it's because they over oiled their filter and it got all over the air flow meter.I have had K&N's in my 4runner,FX16 GTS,Nitroused Fiero GT AND I have one now on my 450hp 88 Mustang 5.0 with no problems.
  13. Your in Texas and Sewell didn't have what you wanted?I say take your business elsewhere and call 1-800-25L-EXUS and tell them the whole story and be specific.I am sure you heard the story here in Columbus Oh. where a local highline dealership(Midwestern Auto Group),shipped a $100k BMW 7 series to a kids high school in Jersey where the kid cruised it for a few days before getting caught. He had the dealership believing the money was transfered from his account to theirs and they shipped the car.Extortion or Capitalism?Ever heard of supply and demand.I think it's funny how car dealerships are thieves for making a profit but everyone else is o.k.What's the markup on a Starbucks drink?A bottle of water?Nike shoe?Furniture?I think you'd be surprised. If someone treats me poorly I am going somewhere else.
  14. I just called OTC and my price as a dealer is actually $28.81.I could do the filters for $4.50 each.I would like to sell them at a min.qty of 3 for shipping sake.
  15. I got 17 inch chrome LS430 wheels on the 90 LS I just gave to my Mom.It still rides nice and looks awesome. The car is black jade.I am contemplating going to 18's on my IS as I think without a taller sidewall or the factory suspension being designed for 18's your ride will suffer greatly.
  16. If you need oil filters shoot me am e-mail at kcourtright@germainlexus.com and I will tell you what kind of deal I can give you.
  17. If your vehicle is in the affected VIN range the seatbelts will be replaced.
  18. E-mail me at work tomorrow and let me see what I can do. kcourtright@germainlexus.com.
  19. I don't think the new IS will hurt the "old"IS prices that much. You either love or hate the new one it is a totally different car.I hate it thats why I bought the last 05 on our lot.The V6 is what killed me, along with the Acura/BMW styling.Do we all have to look alike?I love the "old" car and think there is a large following for it that will make it more desirable once they are gone.Look at what you can get out of a 93- Supra or 91-95 MR2.
  20. The tires are also different sizes front to back.At least they were on the one Lexus brought by our Dealership last week.
  21. Got 650 miles on mine still running strong too.I also have an LS400 with 260k plus and a Toyota Sienna LE with 120k so I would not hesitate to buy one with 100k as long as it has service records with it.
  22. Lexus is so far ahead of Mercedes in reliabilty it's not even funny.I have an LS400(I think I'm one of the old farts)that has 264k on it.The only thing that doesn't work is the seat heaters.I am so confident in this car that it is headed to Virginia next weekend on a roadtrip.I have all the serice records from day 1 and it has never used synthetic oil so I am not a big supporter of synthetic oil in a Lexus/Toyota vehicle unless the car is being driven in "severe conditions".I run synthetic in my Nitrous injected 5.0 Mustang but not my daily drivers but it's really up to you.My Dad has a Toyota pickup with 250k on it and it has never had synthetic oil so it's you call.I worked for a Mercedes Dealership for 2 yrs and would not buy one out of factory warranty for anything.I think Mercedes engines are good ,except the one 6 cyl had headgasket issues, but everything else on them breaks or falls apart.
  23. There is a little white sticker about the size of a credit card on the drivers door or door jamb.It will say C/TR and the first 3 digits are the paint code the following 3 are interior trim code.
