  1. Hey Corey, Very likely a suspension issue. There are several things that can go bump, none of which are desirable. What I would do was take the car someplace where they do alignments and have them check. Without a doubt they will tell you there is something wrong. I do know that front right suspension parts often take more abuse than the driver side and often fail first. Sorry you are having problems but welcome to LOC anyway. Hopefully you will be able to learn a lot about your car and how to keep it operating great without breaking the bank. Denny
  2. The only thing I can wonder is... Why?
  3. Yeah, I'll put broiled eel on my long list. I have no issues with people eating in a car as long as it is not MY car. I will even eat in other peoples cars while not letting them eat or drink in mine. Rules are rules ya know.
  4. My 2004 ES330 has this problem. When it is cold, the driver side mirror discolors. Not sure why but it seems to have cleared up on it's own and I know better than that. Obviously a defect in the manufacturing process.
  5. Well said Gene. For whatever reason I have found that Lexus vehicles need a lot of juice to operate properly. A slightly low battery can cause major havoc. Again, cold weather WILL damage a discharged battery as they will freeze.
  6. Understand about the wife part not liking the lights on, ditto here. Since you are in Carolina, I certainly wouldn't worry about the cannister. For them to quote you that price really seems extremely excessive. Were this me, at this point I would be shopping for the replacement part online and figuring if I could change it myself. Now that the snow and cold are finally departing the Southland, might be able to work outside. Although I am familiar with the charcoal canister and function, I have never changed one on a Toyota product. Hopefully someone around here has and will chip in. Meanwhile, gather up 15 $100 bills and wave them in front of your wife and say "so how much does the light bother you?" My bet is not that much. Denny
  7. And Hey Kenneth, Glad you found us. Welcome.
  8. I'd go to Autozone or Advance, borrow their code reader and clear the codes. Might not be an issue. CEL came on on my Chevy truck when cold. No codes showed and never came back on. It might give you a starting point. The price is way out of line to me.
  9. Imagine asking for that much money without a gun.
  10. If the battery was dead when it got cold, it froze and was damaged. Discharged batteries will freeze. Also, Is the battery original?
  11. Hey Blake, Not sure how long you keep vehicles but if it's longer than a couple years you might consider a K&N filter. Last one you'll have to buy for the car. Welcome Denny
  12. Nope. Prefer Carolina style pulled pork barbeque with a scoop of slaw and some hot sauce.
  13. Tires should smoke. Engines and people should not.
  14. and please stop with the "chilly in San Diego" stuff. :)
  15. White smoke is caused by the power steering fluid being sucked into the intake. Find the two vacuum hoses attached to the power steering pump. Both go to vacuum connections on engine. Block both hoses and openings and smoke will stop. The issue arises from failure in the parking assist portion ot the PS pump. Extensive coverage of this topic in past.
  16. Paul, As a former photography teacher where we did the processing and printing the old school way, I am also so impressed with the iPhone camera. I own probably 6 or 8 cameras, all now relegated to the storage area. The camera on my 6+ is just amazing. When I got my iphone, I selected the 128GB model as I take tons of pictures and video. I would estimated I have close to 2TB's of pictures and videos. I can now do in seconds, what took a whole day in the past. Amazing technology.
  17. Picked up an iPhone6+ a couple months ago. Awesome camera. All you apps will transfer when you sync.
  18. Sorry, saw the cool air. You are either low on coolant, have an airlock in your cooling system. There is also a control valve which blocks or allows the flow of coolant to your heater core. So.. With engine COLD, remove radiator cap and run engine up to operating temperature. Look inside and when the thermostat opens you will see coolant moving. Usually, if it is low it will drop way down when the thermostat opens. Top off with water until you are an inch from the top while coolant circulates. Place your heater on the highest setting while doing this and it should also clear any airlocks. Run until you feel heat. Still no heat? track down the valve, usually vacuum controlled but not sure on Lexus
  19. Is the fan motor working? Heat needs heat and a blower. Sounds like your blower is out which could be a fuse.
  20. My 2004 ES330 specifies Mid-Grade (91). Your car will run on either however with Premium, you will have more power and better fuel economy.
  21. My 1990 LS400 did not have any pinstripes.
  22. If money is being considered. Costco or Walmart If money is not, easy choice Optima Red Top
  23. Good luck Medessa, Thanks for visiting LOC, nice to have you.
