  2. nc211, It's been below freezing here all friggin week, So I am just passing that COLD canadian air right down to you And it seems like there's no end in sight. IMHO I would stick with reccomended power steering fluid, Just change it out and all should be good.
  3. SK, I would love to come to that LEXUS meet, Not only would I take still photos, I would definetly get this one on video.
  4. Welcome to the club Search these forums and you will find more info than you will ever need to know. ;) Where in MN. are you? I'm in !Removed! Rapids.
  5. I forgot to include they also replaced the engine air filter and the ac filter.the best part is that since I'm not the original owner I got to see the maintenance history for the vehicle. it was well cared for according to the service rep. ← Mention the dealer, That sounds like a pretty good deal.
  6. I can remember when gas was 29 cents a gallon and people complained when it hit 30 cents :cries: Those were the days.
  7. SAN ANTONIO!!! :o Get a rope, Wait a minute that was New York City
  8. Yeah, What he said, No pix ??? Maybe you can upload just the pix here.
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/TOYOTA-Lexus-3-Reg-Chr...1QQcmdZViewItem Here you go!
  10. I agree, Stay with OEM, Especially with electrical components.
  11. I have a 93 ES300, If I were you I would fix it and drive the car forever. I plan on keeping mine forever, It is built like a tank. If you decide to part it out I'll be watching.
  12. Of course, I could have told you that.
  13. Not a bad catch, I bought a LEXUS watch on ebay a couple of years ago for 1 cent, It has the SS fine mesh band actually not that bad of watch. I guess I just wanted one.
  14. Sure, I'll send you a set. PM me with your address I'll send them out tommorrow. The manual covers 1983-2000 all TOYOTA/LEXUS vehicles.
  15. monarch, Why do you always display a tone of negativity? People do what they want to there cars and always will regardless of someone elses Blah Blah. I don't want to come across as picking on you [ which I am not ] but you always chime in with the same old tone. No offense and to each his/her own. There are better products on the market for automobiles than what mfg's tell you to use and there is nothing wrong with using them. Have a nice day!
  16. bicol-ini, Thanks again for the inspiration, I am happy to see others taking the time to do the install also. I definetly can feel the difference, And with the inline filter the fluid stays nice and red. Thanx Again
  17. There are nuts that hold the taillight housing on to the body that have to be removed. Then remove the light housing and you will be able to change the bulbs easily. While you are in there I would change all the bulbs on both sides, But that is just me. Good Luck ;)
  18. FYI, The transmission has to heat up to 153 degrees to reach optimal shifting, And is quite normal when cold [ less than 40 degrees ] double check the fluid level, I would install a inline trans fluid filter. The fluid should be red when you check it not brown, Use a white paper towel to determine color. If you get a flush bring it to a toyota dealer[ cheaper labor/fluid than LEXUS stealer ] Good luck and keep us posted.
  19. If you can pull the cluster yourself then you can paint them yourself in less than 15 minutes, Why send it out?
  20. I'll do what I can to get info on this crook, I have my ways.
  21. Thanks for the warning SK, I have to ask, Why would you buy from anyone on ebay with so many neg. feedback? 22. Try www.lextech.org ← www.lextech.org Is the best place to resolve the issues, I speak from experience. Brian is who you want to deal with. And the price is right in my book
  23. Quick question. My stereo has a "short sound" (the sounds transmits thru like a bad cell phone connection). Other threads stated that the sound and the popping noise might be the amp. So i purchased a used Nak amp (i have no idea if it works) removed the old amp put the new one in and there is no sound at all. I put the old/orginial amp back in and i have the "short sound" again. Now i am wondering if its the speakers. The radio and cd still power on and give me a distorted sound. Can you tell me if you have ever encountered this problem or heard of this problem before. ← Did you buy one of those useless amps on ebay? It is probably your amp you need to get one that has been refurbed. How much did you pay? I can get one 100% guaranteed to work with warranty if interested.
  24. Just want to add new info. I have a chance to talk with a Lexus Technician. I mention to him my concern about oil in TRD filter can oil the air mass sensor. He told me that to avoid any lawsuit, Lexus agrees to replace air mass filter in that case without question. He said that there should not be any issue of using TRD or K&N air filter. ← So guys, I have seen some dicussions where dust or oil may get in the system due to the use of a K&N filter. Is there any truth to this? I just bought one yesterday and installed it. It's working great, but I want to make sure I don't mess up my car. Does anyone have any insight into this? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks! ← I have a K&N in my GS and love it. And stock toyota filter in my ES. You will find some members against K%N and some swear by them so it is really up to the individual to make the choice. The argument between the two has been never ending and really pointless IMHO. Just be happy with your decisions and enjoy the ride.
  25. Minneapolis-$2.07, $2.19, $2.27 And it seems like it is going down, Keep our fingers crossed X.
