Are you sure they are pits and not damage by the lever they use to remove the tire from the rim ? I went through a similar problem, I bought new chrome rims and after the tires were installed the wheel was damaged from the kid not knowing how to mount chrome rims. They paid for new rims and I haven't been back since (1998 ).

Did this happen all of a sudden ? Does the lock/unlock button work on the key ? Have you always used the key to lock/unlock ? Do you think someone superglued the lock ? The lock/ unlock remote doesnt work as nothing on my car. lol I use the key everytime, sicne its my only way to get in the door. Nah doubt anyone super glued it. What yanks my chain is the mothers-to-be purposely come over the border to have there offspring and we pay for it, Then the offspring is automatically a US citizen and the government/we are responsible for the child until the age of 18. You have to open the trunk and get behind the trunk liner, There are threaded studs 3 or 4 I forget, Remove the nuts and the entire assembly comes out, Then you can replace the bulbs easily. What I do is when 1 bulb goes out REPLACE THEM ALL while you have the assy. out. Murphy's law says another bulb will burn in a month and you wish you would have changed all of them. It is a worthy investment/project. 1 hour and your finished. Same thing on my g3, The engine/oil/tranny fluid has to warm up to 153 degrees then all is normal.
