  1. Did you try cleaning the Throttle body and changing out your air filter?.... It almost sounds like an ECU problem maybe....
  2. It really sounds like a vacume leak or possibly the TPS sensor....(Throttle position sensor) Good luck it sounds like a pain in the !Removed!....

  4. There is only two ways to flush your tranny fluid... This new machine that I talked about above which syphons then replaces the fluid from the top of the engine... An amazing machine and it takes about 20 minutes for it to work... The conventional and most commonly used technique is to physically drop the pan from underneathe the car and then clean everything out...The pan should hold approx. two quarts of fluid.... You should repeat the process atleast two times...Maybe three times for a real proper flush.. Drive inbetween flushes too... I change my fluid on my SC400 every 50,000 miles or so...I use only synthetic fluids.. Then again my ride is modified so the tranny works overtime which fry's the fluid faster.. I actually need to install a tranny cooler soon...Heat is what kills the transmission, so the cooler the tranny fluid stays the longer you can go without the flush, and also the tranny will last longer as well.. It's that simple..

  9. Thanks ray.... Yeah, it's always the easiest way out of your problems is to go ahead and try and kill yourself...The only problem with that is that effects everyone else surrounding you for a long time after your dead...It also leaves alot of question marks for many, like why? I would say anyone that is willing to take their life to excape certain pains is weak minded and in need of mental help... For me, life is way too valuable and people should realise when times get really tough, that is a normal part of life and in time things will always get better ...It's like this to me - life is kinda like a roller coaster and at times you have your ups and then you have your downs, and other times you will have huge ups and huge downs... Realising that, and knowing things will get better eventually really has always helped me to avoid depression at every level throughout my entire life so far... So I would say suicide should never be a solution or an option for anyone, just seek out help, make positive changes to solve the problems, and give it time...If life was always roses then this would be heaven on earth which it is not...Suicide is just a cop out and it *BLEEP*es me off... My brother in law, was a bit high strung, a very strict disiplinarian, Christian, a good father and husband for many many years until now... Apparently he had some serious serious problems (mental too) and never let anyone know.. Anyway, time to move on... Dirt....... Garbage
  10. WOW, the forum love is overwhelming...You guys are great thanks... They say you are more then likely to experience the loss of a loved one when you reach your forties, but you are never are really prepared for the loss when it happens.. I loss my sister in law to breast cancer 5 years ago and that was a bigger loss to me.. She also left two small boys behind for my older brother to raise...Those two boys turned out to better then I ever expected, and am I sure the same will happen with this situation... It all just takes time and good family support... DCfish you know what I speak of as you recently experienced the loss of a loved one...It's never easy but it does get a little easier with time... Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread...So let's get back to the word association game... Thanks again everyone... Sterilize..... Sanitation
  11. Thanks for the kind words Rya and DCfish... To keep things on a positive note the 3 young kids still have a wonderful mother and a great Uncle in me to be there for them from this time forward... Things will work out, it's just a sad time right now... Lysol???? Cleaning
  12. Fresh scent... Man, I just found out my brother in law shot himself in the head...He leaves behind 3 kids and a loving wife... I had always thought my brother in law to be just a little off, but to be so selfish and do what he did and leave a greiving family behind really just blows me away... He was having affairs and was threatened blackmail by his mistress and that is what caused him to go off and kill himself... He was living a double life... A strong church goer too, what a shocker... I thought I would share this because it is such a mind blower.. Sometimes the people closest to you are not always whom you think they are, and one minute your talking with them, and the next minute there in a casket dead.... Life can get wild sometimes what a shame....

  15. Could be when you removed the TB you jacked up the TPS - throttle position sensor... A vacume leak would cause the idle to be low and maybe even stall the motor...Vacume leak or MAF problem maybe? I don't know what to tell you...
  16. I need the bottom plastic protective covers that are directly located underneathe the motor... It's 3 peices in total with bolts... I can paypal you $100 for those three black plastic peices with the screws included... Pm me if your interested in selling me those parts and we can work out the details...
  17. Well OEM parts are best, that is what the dealership will sell you.... If you specific which parts you want then I can lead you in the right direction if OEM stuff in too pricey for you... If you want a tutorial, look at my thread "result of mods" that pretty much will break it down for you if you find the time to read it all..
  18. You know the junk yards sell clusters... You can even pick one up with lower miles on it which I don't recommend....

  22. Your ECU (Electronic Control Unit) or computer brain to your motor controls the fuel mix...Now during warm up the ECU will run the car very rich until normal operating temp is achieved.. It could be a bad sensor to your ECU read that is causing your motor to run rich, or a bad ECU... I would say it's probably one of two things...your engine temp sensors and or exhaust sensors may be sending your ECU a cold engine read... That could cause the gas smell but I dought that is problem... Or you could be short a cylinder and piston from firing, and your car would run very poor at idle with reduced power overall.. Unspent fuel could be coming out your exhaust if that is the case and that I would check first.... You can check the spark plug wires one at a time to see if each cylinder is firing and then inspect each spark plug as well... A bad ignition coil could be the culprit also...You can also try changing out the spark plugs, spark plug wires, to see if that helps if it is time to do that anyway.... Does your check engine light come on? You may want to get a computer diagnostic check for the problem also...THe test should throw a code if your car is running poorly like you stated... That code will tell the mechanic what is causing the problem... Hope this helps...Good luck.... PS..Also a little hint, run the car to normal operating temp and look at your cat converters to see if they look red hot...One or more pistons not firing can turn the cats bright red hot and actually fry them out.... Sounds like you shouldn't drive the car to much until you get this problem resolved..

  24. No the rack bushing are different, no sides for stability like the LCA bushings...Your ok, and the Daisen rack bushing are good to go... Just keep an eye on the Daisen bushings over time and if the appear to be dry and begin mushrooming and making noise then go ahead and cake them with bushing grease which you can purchase at any auto parts store..The Daisens will last or they wouldn't still be selling...However, they will deform over time, dry up, mushroom, etc...Keep them lubed and maybe check every six months, you may just get by for awhile with the Daisens...Also look for that mushrooming effect to happen, if it gets really bad then the bushings will fail.... Good luck...
  25. This all happened just after you removed and then reinstalled the throttle body? None of these problems were occuring prior to the TB removal? Wow, I don't know what to tell you...If you reinstalled everything correctly then just maybe you fouled the TPS sensor...The throttle position sensor... That could cause the idle to do funny things... Do any check engine lights come on or anything? How does the car run after a while? Does the idle balance out after a while, or does it constantly run high? There is a warm up period where the ECU (engine computer unit) raises the Idle until the motor reaches a certain temperature...
