  2. Mine's had the kerpop more often lately, like once a week. It does it after the car is parked and has been sitting for about 10-15 minutes and only does it once. May be opposite of yours because I've been running the heater lately and when parked the car is cooling down.

It's a problem when they teach kids to put the condoms on bananas. :chairshot:
  4. Here's a wreck that's being parted out. http://my.is/forums/f99/huge-part-out-349016/#post5182068
  5. Oops. I guess some oil comes in 5 quart containers. Anyway just so you have enough to fill with 6.6 quarts.
  6. You'll need a one gallon jug plus 3 quarts. It's gonna take about 6.6 quarts for the change.
  7. You need everything except the small hoses and the MAF.
  8. I've bought some parts here: Prices are much better than going to the local dealer. http://www.lexus-parts.com/ You could also try a Google search on "Used Lexus parts" and search the individual vendors' sites.
  9. Yeah, but he's in Russia, so I'm wondering if the dealer would have those, or if he even got the Lexus in Russia?? Oooh.
  10. We'd really need some miles per gallon figures to know if the gas usage is really out of line with other IS 300's
  11. No, it's turned on. The fog lamps come on when the headlamps are on but not the parking lights. That's the stock setup. The fogs don't come on until the low beam headlights are on.
  12. If you want to go test drive the ISF at Moroso Motorsports Park in Fla, sign up quick. Details here. http://my.is/forums/f43/lexus-f-performanc...ts-park-348900/
  13. Get a Ford with the new Microsoft voice command program. :chairshot:
  14. This is why I hate John Stossel. http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/Story?i...9000&page=1 Love him or hate him, the TV segment pretty well covered the subject in a comprehensive manner.
  15. Don't drive at constant speeds for more than a few miles at a time. Vary your speed for the first 450 or so miles. It's in the manual.
  16. Get Aquapel. I've used it for 5 years on different cars. Water beads up and above 40 MPH most of the water just blows off. It lasts 3 to 6 months per treatment. All you do is wipe it on , wait a few min. and wipe it off. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-AQUAPEL-W...sspagenameZWDVW
  17. John Stossel did a segment on this last week. Several cars varied from 20 to 60 or so miles when the readout said zero miles left.
  18. My car was already set to lock when egaging any gear when I got it. It's part of the personal settings. The dealer should have a check list you can use to mark how you want everything set and then set it all for you free on a one time basis.
  19. Most cars are the same way. You'll get some miles before you run out of gas. They're just trying to idiot-proof them.
  20. Look up at the topics above this forum. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=41473
  21. This has been discussed before, but people have got anywhere from 20 to 50 miles. Most agree that it's not a good idea to run your tank that low, especially in the winter.
