  1. Check the previous posts on keys. I had to replace mine and I went through Streetkeys. Ultimately, I ended up programming doors and trunk myself.
  2. Mr. Sypher, did you finish getting your car repaired? Or is this the "new" project you promised?
  3. I promise you, I bet it's the throttle/pulley assembly. I had the same problem. I had to have it replaced. If that the issue, then I hope you have a warranty on it. If not, you're looking at around $1500.
  4. You also can go to a locksmith's shop and get one cut WITH the transpoder chip in it. Shouldn't cost more than $30.00.
  5. As stated on a previous post, I sell the octanes that are sold at the pump. Yes the higher octanes is recommended.
  6. While my experience with Street Keys wasn't smooth and the customer service still sucks, they did come through in the end and I now have my replacement key that works. So now I'm happy!
  7. What's everyone's advise on the best for your money aftermarket nav system? I have a 99gs400 and was wanting to get a dvd/nav system installed. What a good reliable system that won't cost more than what my car is worth?
  8. Any new opinions here? I have 18's Nittos and was looking to move up to 245/40's. Any problem there for a 99 gs4?
  9. Well, so far my experience with Streetkeys hasn't gone smooth. First of all the key I was sent looks like it was 10 years old and then the locksmith couldn't program the transmitter (for the doors/lock and trunk). I had to send the key back. I'm definitely NOT impressed with the customer service as they don't return calls or reply to e-mails very well. The locksmith has not been happy either with them and in fact was even considering putting a bad name on them with the locksmith traders group. Hopefully Streetkeys will come through for me and make me forget this experience. I'll let you know how I made out......
  10. It's worth the cost. I bought mine with 44K miles on it and when they offered the premium coverage I said yes. Soon after I had to replace my headlight and the pulley/trottle assembly. The cost for the assembly alone was $1500! So was it worth the extra cost? Hell yea!
  11. Thanks ModMan! You're the man! I'll let everyone know what my experience was when I get it. Thanks Mod!
  12. Guys, I know this question has been covered before, but can someone tell me who sells the Lsportline rear roof spoiler the least expensive?
  13. I have a '99 GS400 and need one more master key since my other one is missing. I will take your word that "StreetKey" isn't bogus. One question....all Lexus keys have different patterns? I thought they were generic but because of the chip in the key, that was the difference. So the locksmith has to cut it? Who programed the key?
  14. Is Streetkeys a legit place to get replacement keys?
  15. You can go back and check the thread I posted when I had a friend ask the same question. Bottom line is that you'll be hard pressed to find a sucker, er dealership who would do the install. Not to mention, the cost would be astronomical.
  16. No, I'm in Houston but I come to Orlando every year for vacation (usually in March). I'm not sure how far you are from Orlando, but if you aren't too far, I'd love to meet and see your car in person. Hopefully soon I'll get more photos of mine with the pillars and post. I wanted to wax it first before taking the photos. Are you going modify your 400?
  17. When I messed up putting on my first sticker, I removed it from the top to the bottom and at an angle. You just have to do it slow! BlueLex, I'm surprised you took them off but your car still looks good. Where at in Florida are you anyway?
  18. Joel, nice looking "stock" car. I'm sure you have it fixed up right. Some people like 20's on their rides, but I personally like 18's. They give you size and a good ride too. By the way, how did you post you car photo?
  19. They won't rub as long as you get the right size tire. Unfortunately, the ride will be stiffer and no as smooth as you'd want but the ride will be ok. The other thing is with that size tire, you better be carefully not to hit any potholes or you'll have this look on your face: :o
  20. Very nice. It looks like you kept it up pretty good. How many miles on it?
  21. If anyone is interested in ordering the group buy for these, you should call (818)776-9956 and place your order today.
  22. Thanks! I got them from a local wheel place here in the great big state of Texas. I had them to add the Lexus logo for the center piece.
