  1. Hi all, I own a 1999 LS400 with factory 16's on it. I just purchased new Lexus LS430 18 inch tires and wheels off of a 2004 to replace the 16's . My question, what is the proper tire pressure for the 18's on the LS ? If somebody could check the specs on there LS430 with factory 18's and let me know, I would be grateful.

  3. Thanks for the info SKPERFORMANCE. What wheels are on your car ?
  4. Hi all, I would love to change the look of my 99 LS with some new wheels. Does anyone know what other Lexus model cars wheels will fit the big brakes of the LS ? I love the IS 17" 5 spoke wheels, has anyone put these on a 95 up LS ? What will work on my car ? Thanks
  5. Was looking to put factory Lexus wheels on the car but change the look. I like the IS 17" wheels but have nearly new 16" Michelins on the car now and would hate to pay the extra $600 expense for tires on top of the rims. I also like the later model 6 spoke GS430 wheels and that's the ones I was most wondering about on my car. They are 16 X 8 with a 50mm offset. The only difference I see is the GS wheels are 1/2 inch wider than my 01 ls wheels. I've seen several sets of these on ebay and none say they would fit a 95 up LS4. What are others doing on the LS ?
  6. Hi all, I was looking at a set of late model chrome GS 16" wheels on ebay, I own a 2000 LS platinum with 01 LS430 wheels. The ad idicates that the wheels will fit a 90-94 LS and just about every other Lexus made except 95 and up LS. My question is, What is different between the 90-94 LS400 wheel size versus the 95 and up LS400 wheels. What offset and width do I need to stay with on my 2000 LS ? I'm also interested in the IS 17" wheels for my LS, any problem with this set up ?? What wheels looks bets on LS for a sporty look ?? would like to stay with 16" due to new Michelin tires on the car. thx
  7. I'm getting a vibration noise from my overhead console where the lights and power moonroof controls are. Does anyone know how to pull this down without damaging anything ?? I have a 2000 LS and the noise seems to be coming from behind or in this unit. Any help please (not worth a dealer visit). thx
  8. Hi All, I stepped away from the LS and bought a 2000 GS4. The seats are a little dirty so I decided to pull them for a good cleaning and condition. You guessed it, the bottom of the front seat bracket hit the speaker grill on the way out and put a hole in the cloth. Does anyone know how to pull off the front door speaker grills on a 2nd gen GS so I can replace the cloth ? Does the whole door panel have to come off or will the grill itself come out ? Where might I find the material to replace with ? Thanks, Jeff
  9. I had a problem some time ago with new tires and vibration that followed. After several balance jobs and even replaced a drive shaft to cure the vibration. Guess what ? one tire was out of round, I could see it while spinning on the balance machine. Pointed it out to the tech and the store replaced tires and vibration gone. It's not impossible to get a bad tire.
  10. I've got 325 miles on this tank and still above 1/4 or 5 gal remain. I'd say about 23mpg on a 2000 GS4.
  11. I'm sorry, The cars are located in Anderson SC 29621. and my name is Jeff
  12. I have found myself owning 1 Lexus to many for my garage and insurance payments. I need to sell one of the two before to long or I'll be sent to the dog house by the wife. I have two extremely nice cars and one garage space available. First, 1996 LS400 in supurb shape that's Alpine Silver with grey interior and the Nak system. Also has factory Chrome wheels in perfect condition. The car has 139K miles but looks like 39K. I'm asking $10,500. The second is a Diamond white 2000 GS400 that is also in exceptional condition. It has factory 17" wheels, Nak system, HID lamps, Rear wing, Tan interior with heated seats and VSC. This car has 95K miles and will sell for $16,500. Both are great cars and I'm happy with which ever one does not sell. Please contact me via email for any pictures and a phone number. logg_63@yahoo.com Thanks, Jeff
  13. Hi all, I've owned over 70 cars in my lifetime and I can tell you first hand that a well maintaned high mileage car has always served me better than a very low mileage car. What I've found, if the car has high miles and almost cosmetically perfect, the car has been loved and cared for. The worst cars I've purchased have all been low low miles for the year. When you start using these ultra low mileage cars as normal drivers, things start breaking and leaking. I have a 96 LS400 with 139K that I would take over my moms 26K 1998 Caddy deville any day. The best used cars I've owned have all been Lexus brand with over 100K. (6 LS400's , 1 SC400, 1 RX300, and last but not least 1 GS400) Great cars......all of them.
