  1. I have just read the new issue of Super Street. Guess what, there is an article with a JDM spec SC430 with a Blitz twin super charger. I can not wait unitl this hit the US market.
  2. A bit below average but it is a fair price. Check to see that the service was kept up. you can do that by taking the VIN number to a Lexus service and have them run the number in the computer.
  3. A remote start can be used on your vehicle, but you will not be able to use your factory key. You muct have an after market alarm installed as well. I have the Viper alarm with the remote start. Also my factory key still works as well. Make sure if you do get this done that what ever alarm you use has a transponer. this way you do not have any need to take a part your seconed master key. The Lexus line of car needs that unit near the car in order for it to start. Most auto starts require the the second master key transponder to be mounted in some type of lock box mounted under that dash. the only company i am aware of that has this type of unit that does not require the factory trandsponder is the Viper. Follow the link below for more information. http://www.directed.com/security/viper/viper_rs.asp http://www.directed.com/security/viper/viper_esp.asp
  4. If the bolts have been one the vehicle for a while it is going to take some elbow to get them off. If you are using a wrench, try and find a pipe that the wrench handel would fit in. by doing this you will have an better chane of getting the bolts off. The pipe extend the wrech cause a greater surface to power ratio. Good luck..
  5. http://www.video-nav.com/index.html Check out the above link. This site offer porduct that you could use your factory NAV screen as a viewing screen as well. I can not say hoe it works, this site was sujested by another L.O.C. member on an issue with an IS300. Hope it helps.
  6. I have the 30k service done just under two weeks ago. It was right at the $360 mark.
  7. If you are going to put some type of stereo system in the IS, you should just go with the aftermarket NAV system. The factory nav is not better then an aftermarket. However, the factory nav has extra features like the service screen. I have a 2001 GS 430 with the Alpine Nav system and i also have a 2003 LX470 with the factory NAV. My wife feels that the Alpine NAV is more correct then that od the factory system. And if you do go with the factory nav just go the the site that TriniIS300 posted. i have looked over that site and it seems to be a good idea with factory nav in mind.
  8. I hihgly disagree. The 2JZ-GTE is not way more motor than the 2JZ-GE. In fact, they are basically the same motor. Heads are different porting, valves are different pistons different, intake manifold different, crank different, rods different, cooloing jackets different, head porting different...oh what else??? Just a little jab AWJ don't take it personly.
  9. Man oh man i can not understand why i did not do this. this not only let people try various models but also looks like a lot of fun. Man i am so mad at myself for missing this... :chairshot:
  10. You for sure have a point there as far as the stock of the parts go. I have found that most of the shops that show ad's for product out of japan, uless they are direct, need to take the long route in order even get the product. But if the the links help some one, then thats good to.
  11. I am in the OC area and interested in a L.O.C. meeting. PM me maybe we could work some thing out with a local Lexus Dealer for a saturday afternoon....

  16. The factory amp is usualy located behind the glove box. Here is the problem, generaly one won't work with out the other from what i have seen. What io mean is that the factory head unit would rely on the amp inorder to work. You may want to go to a stereo shop and find out more information this.
  17. At one point in time Toyota corp. had agreemnets with both Pioneer and Nakamichi. The visiual design of the unit could not change but the componets of the unit did differ. The lables on the backs of the units would indenitfi them as to what type you had. i hope this helps.
