great news that makes sense. I didnt think about that. I just assumed that it wouldnt have the connectors and thats why dealers get to charge an arm and a leg if you want to add cd changer as an option.....

In relation to changer removal addition.....does anyone know about how much the harness costs? Can it be bought at dealer. I have sold my oem stereo with cd changer controls and my cd changer. I unplugged my changer and noticed that the harness is intertwined with all my wiring and I have no idea how far it goes. DOes the buyer benefit at all if cut include the end that fits into changer and have htem create harness? Or is the only beneficial option to them is if I am willing to pull all my carpet and interior apart trace the wiring harness all the way to my factory stereo location and pull it out for them? 1994 es300 6 disc in trunk model.

Just to confirm for anyone else out there with a 97 or same stereo lcd. the replacement fix is easy. I just wish that damn LCD didnt cost 90 bucks but better than paying dealer price or paying someone else 200 for a 15 minute job.....just a quick description for anyone who still needs it..... 1. Pry out ac vents above by pulling with one hadn from the middle then using flat screwdriver on other side to wedge it out. Two bolts to remove above stereo and then. 2. open up drink holder and pull out small black plastic piece to uncover 2 more bolts. Unscrew the 2 bolts. begin to pull unit forward. 3. Unplug I think a total of 2 harnesses one cable for ant and one more thing cable. To replace LCD screen the front will have some screws to remove and then you can unscrew the existing unit out. I personally pulled stereo out of brackets and did it on kitchen countertop but im sure some of yall could even do it in the car. 4. I think there were 2 cables that you unplugh from main board for old lcd and then replace with new unit....http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=CWM4319+ 83.22 plus shipping. If only the LS400 ac LCD was such an easy fix!!!

okay great you answered my questions I will try it again tomorrow morning. I think the fob I bought had a dead battery and that is why it didnt work the first time.

Sorry I was just asking about turn signals. it was night when I put the bulbs now in the day time I can see the difference because for the bulbs to be street legal I guess they have to be white like you were saying. I used to have a maxima and after got clear corners I started using a Polarg bulb that was just bright white.....

hey would you mind posting directions I have a 97 these are the directions I have from the forum 1) Driver door is open and unlocked, key is out the ignition. 2) Key is inserted into the ignition and removed without turning. 3) Using power lock, the door is locked and unlocked 5 times. 4) the door is closed and then opened. 5) Using power lock the door is closed and opened 5 times again. 6) key is inserted in ignition turned to on position and then off, key is then removed. 7) After the locks cycle,the lock and unlock button is held simultaneously for a second. 8) Immediately after the lock button is held for 2 seconds. A few questions "step 3" Does this mean pressing buttons a total of ten times or just five 1.lock 2.unlock 3.lock 4.unlock 5.unlock or is lock unlock considered 1 of the five times. Step 5 using the power lock means the button on the door right so I unlock the door and open then shut it and lock it is one time step 7 what does locks cycle mean do i do the same cycle again? of locking unlocking ro should my doors be locking and unlocking on there own....also does anyone know what radio frequency to use to check and see if it is working. ?

Also Im not concerned about street legal but what brand or model is typically the most bright white/blue available for headlight replacement. terrick any instructions available on replacing the lcd display. Pulling it out was not bad at alll. I own a 94 my mother has a 97 and since I just installed a dvd screen in mined I no longer needed oem radio. Unfortunately it does not fit. For my front stage existing 3 way system I am looking to upgrade to components but am wondering what is largest tweeter that will fit in factory location?.5 inch right?. If so I will just install some efficient coaxials that run @ 4ohm Those who have installed component sets has anyone mounted amp under the seat? any instructions or tips for doing so I would like to keep factory power for rears midrange tweet etc. is there a 3 way xover or discrete channels for each speaker

after reading faq by skperformance it seems that front speakers are 5.25 and tweeter is 1 inch whereas on crutcfield when putting in lexus es300 as model all the choices are 6.5 do any mods have to be done to door panel to get 6.5 to fit? For rear speakers if you simply replace oem with aftermarket by unplugging old speakers and plugging in new ones will it work or is there more changes required
