aristocat Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Can someone please help me out? I want an intake for my 98 GS300 and it is like impossible to find one. I bought one but it turned out to be a 92-97 style so I have to return it. Are 98-2002 Lexus GS300 (U.S) has the same engine set up? Cause I can find intakes for 99up but not for 98. Need help really quick. Thanks
AWJ Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 The 1999 model parts and up should work. Probably some ecu issue or something. VVT-i items? I'm speculating. But you could just modify your stock airbox for more flow if that is your goal. Unless you are looking for a pretty shiny pipe. Then you need a short stack.
bluelex Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 try.......... www.intensepower.com or www.rodmillenstore.com they have intakes 4 our car, i have the weapon-r intake right and will b selling in a week or so when my srt intake with ecu comes in. i have pics in the gs gallery of it. good luck.
MrSypher Posted May 11, 2003 Posted May 11, 2003 Aristocat, good news for you buddy... Thus kid I know just came by my house last week for me to install a Intake and piggyback ECU on his 02 GS300 and when I opened the box I saw that the air-sensor was too large and it wouldn't fit on 01-03 GS300's.. It was made for 98-00 GS300's... He was gonna sell it to me and I was gonna have the company just send me a new piece with the right sensor opening.. He still has the Intake and I ordered him a new one already.. So if you still need it shoot me a PM and we can talk..

An E.C.U. supplement is not needed on the 01-03 models. Hope this helps.
MrSypher Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 From what I know all 3 of those companies don't make intakes for the GS3.. I know Injen makes Intakes for the IS3 and the GS430.. And RMM makes it also for the IS3 and the GS4.. AEM I'm not sure about.. But I do have a SRT intake for as 98-00 GS3 with race ECU..
gslx4s Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 RMM Sport Intake System (98-00 GS300) $299 http://www.rodmillenstore.com/gs_400/price_engine.htm IS2092 GS300 w/ Stainless exhaust manifold cover 2000-02 http://www.injen.com/toyota.html Dragon Intakes http://www.importstudio.bigstep.com/catego...l?UCIDs=1033402 AEM's unit is still in production. The unit, for the most part is the same as the IS 300 but the mounting points of the brackets are different. Dragon is just one more way to go that i found.
MrSypher Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 I stand corrected... Wow, I guess there's alot of new products since the last time I looked for my GS.. Good stuff...

Need help really quick. Thanks K&N offers a drop in type filter. IMO use a drop in and make a 2 inch circle hole in the air box. the hole would allow a greater voulme of air in the the box. Good luck...
gs3la.ca Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 where could i get an srt intake and what does the supplemental ecu do to improve performance? and also would it be better to get an srt intake rather than the akimoto intkae? thanks in advance.
