Hello, This is my first post.  I searched all posts, forums, youtube videos and manuals I could find. HELP.

My SC430 is a Yr02005 with 29,000 miles. I changed my front speakers (6.5"). I did not touch the window motors. Now my passenger window will only work with manual operations. i.e. I have to hold the switch to make it go up or down.

Steps: I disconnected battery. Then removed door panel, connectors to door latch, door light, and removed connection to passenger door ECU.  Then I replaced the speakers. Now, connected everything back. Before closing up, I'm testing everything. The speaker works. The door lock/unlock works. The open/close doors and windows with Keys work.  EXCEPT, the passenger window goes down or up only a little.

To reset the window SC430 manual gives these steps:

(a) Install the front door window regulator with the 7 nuts.Upper side:Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgfcm, 71in.lbf) Lower side:Torque:13.0 Nm; m(133 kgfcm,10ftlbf) Motor side:Torque: 5.5 Nm ; (56 kgfcm, 48 in.lbf)

(b) Install the power window regulator and door glass.

(c) Connect the power window switch to the wire harness and turn the ignition switch ON.

(d) Fully close the door glass by manual operation.

(e) By using a round bar (2 mm) keep the reset switch pressed.

(f) Fully open the door glass by manual operation (Push the down switch) with the re-set switch pressed.

(g) Take the round bar away from the reset switch and then fully close the door glass by manual operation.

(h) Check if AUTO UP/AUTO DOWN operates in the automatic operation.

(i) Reset the regulator again when performing the reverse operation after closing the window fully by AUTO UP operation.

(i) Check the power window function.

Hi, I figured it out.  There are 3 connectors to the door ECU. The far right connector that is closest to the door latch was not snug.  I believe this is what controlled the auto-up/down feature.  I retraced my steps and with help of other's suggestions, I found the problem and the window works now.  Thank you.
