Rear Door Speaker Cover...what A Scam!

So, when I bought the GS the rear door speaker is a little cracked. so I figure no problem I will get one. WELL...it is part of the door panel...AND Lexus wants $2500 for the door panel.

Hi Ivan,

Boy, that's a new one to me. I've never seen nor heard of the rear door speaker cover being "fused" as one total part. The price for the panel doesn't surprise me. Before doing any thing else, check on "ebay" and also with wrecker yards and salvage yards.

Yep, that is the direction Toyota has gone with most if not all of its vehicles of all brands and in all price levels. The speaker grills are now an integral part of door panels and not separately replaceable.
