lexusjaps
do you want to eat?
VBdenny
Nope. Prefer Carolina style pulled pork barbeque with a scoop of slaw and some hot sauce.
LEX-SV
I like sushi, but not while driving my Lexus (or any car).
LEX-SV
Unagi (broiled eel) is yummy too
VBdenny
Yeah, I'll put broiled eel on my long list. I have no issues with people eating in a car as long as it is not MY car. I will even eat in other peoples cars while not letting them eat or drink in mine. Rules are rules ya know.
LEX-SV
I also have rules regarding no smoking (cigs or crack) in my car, so far and fortunately I haven't had to play enforcer of these rules.
lenore
I am with you, Good old American Food, not that yuppie stuff...for want a bee's pulled pork all the way....
VBdenny
For whatever reason, eating stuff like raw fish and innards of things just holds little appeal for me. Never been able to quite wrap my head around weird foods when there are New York strip steaks available. Medium rare please.
LEX-SV
I just learned sushi is weird food, good to know, lol.
ppine
I used to know a S Korean architect. When we had a tough day he would suggest we go out for some sake and sashimi. It made us feel better and I always felt smart the next day. I will not be doing any eating in my Lexus. The Japanese aesthetic applies to a lot of things and it is apparent in these cars. I am interested in doing some more reading on the subject.
lexusjaps
I am with you, Good old American Food, not that yuppie stuff...for want a bee's pulled pork all the way.... big mac and coca cola?
LEX-SV
Is big mac and coke considered food, or just some processed by-products packaged and sold as edible?
VBdenny
Eating Big Mac's can also put a "Big" in front of your name. Big Jack, Big Tom, etc.
LEX-SV
Yes. Big mac->big belly-> and years later-> big heart attack. Crap doesn't even taste good enough to be worth it. No wonder McD's sales in the US are declining steadily.
13IS250C
If I'm going to blow calories/fat intake on a burger, it is going to be a good one. I try to eat healthy. Heck, I finally found a way to kick artificial sweeteners. That was a tough hurdle. My biggest bad is sugar. I do have a sweet tooth. VBdenny
Sweet tooths are difficult to deal with as they do not give up. Mind over sweets is always a challenging task. Apparently most people lose this battle as I can't go to Walmart anymore.
13IS250C
You don't like Wal-Martians? I read Dr Atkin's book about 13 years ago and it changed my life. I was a tad chubby. Yuck! I can't stand to look at my old pictures. He said sugar was an addiction and if you can go a couple of weeks without it, you won't crave it anymore. It is true. I was strict low carb for a year. If I put on a few pounds, I go right back on it.
LEX-SV
My weakness is desserts too.

LEX-SV
I love sour candies including Smarties, sour worms, etc.
13IS250C
Its funny, Sour Bright Crawlers is my traveling treat. If we take a trip, that is my snack. Otherwise I don't buy them or I would nibble on them 24/7.
ppine
We went from raw fish to Big Mac's, candy, and Wal-Mart. That is very depressing. Goodbye.
LEX-SV
Walmart and McDs are often under 1 roof, depressing, no wonder..... Back to OP's topic of sushi. What's your favorite sushi? Pick one favorite.
13IS250C
Oh, believe me. We can get way more off topic than that. Never tried sushi. I'm sure I would like it. I need to go with someone that knows what to get.
LEX-SV
Anybody try blowfish? (If it's not prepared correctly it can kill you btw)
