coolsi Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 hi, what is the recommended tire psi for the '96 ES300? thanks!
steviej Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 My '02 calls for 29 psi all round (215/60-16s). It is probably the same. I prefer the ride at 32 psi, personally. steviej
SKperformance Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 29 wow that seems low but i am no lexus engineer they know what they are doing when they make them i use 35-40 depending on the max of the tires if doing long distances on a highway i up them to max psi saves a hell of a lot of gas almost got from Toronto to nyc queens on 1.25 tanks of gas in a 1990 lumina apv the tires don't heat up much from stopping and going like in traffic so it won't be an issue of safety
zeta Posted March 22, 2003 Posted March 22, 2003 i run mine around 30-32 for about even wear. 29 seems that it would allow sidewall of the tire that's close to the ground to bulge outward a bit. i don't like to see that, so i pump it up everytime i see my sidewall beginning to bulge outwards any, for tread wear purposes and better mileage.
es3doubleO Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 32psi is the best because its not too hard of a ride or not too soft. If your tires are too low on air they will wear allot from the sides and if they are too high they will wear from the middle and give your a hard ride. :)
SW03ES Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 I've run tires on several different types of cars between 27-29 and haven't had any improper treadwear. Me no likey bumps ;) Bumps BAAAAAAAD!
Nabeel Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Lexus reccomended 32 psi all around for the '92-'96 ES300.
