Can anyone help me with my 2007 Lexus ES 350 with 10,000 miles on it, it shakes when I apply brakes especially when loaded. If I am the only on the car it doesn't seem to do that. I took it to the dealer and they say that it might be the rotor. It is still under warranty if I elected it to be turned. I think I will just wait until the problem worsen. I can't believe that it is the rotor, it's only 10,000miles.

You really shouldn’t be driving the car when you are loaded. :D

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I would have the dealer replace the rotor(s). I presume it is the front rotor(s) they are referring to, so I would ask them to replace the rotors, not turn them.

Its your rotors if you can get the dealer to replace them you are ahead of the game they just turned mine when it happened on mine at 8k, By the way

rotor warping is very common on the 07 ES.

Thanks for the information. I will insist that the dealer replace the rotor.

I had a 2007 ES for a loaner car while my LX was in the shop. And with only 8k miles and the rotors were warped.

Do you think guys that I could insist for the dealer to change the rotor at 10k. It is under warranty. What if they insist of just turning it. What are my recourse.

I'd tell them that no other car you have owned had rotors warp at these low miles. My 350Z had 22k miles on it when I traded it in and the rotors were in perfect shape. Under 10k miles is just horrible.

I would insist they replace them...or agree to replace them if they rewarp after they turn them.

Stay calm, friendly, and assertive. Make your case to the general manager, the rotors have warped this soon, if they are turned then they will just warp again within 5,000 miles and Lexus will have to replace them then...why not just replace them now?

The dealer did not replaced my rotor. What they did is machined front brake rotors, installed updated front and rear brake pads per TSB# SB0070-09. I think I am happy with what they did. It is under warranty so I didn't pay a single cent. If it shake again at 20k I will replace the rotor myself. I do a lot of DIY on my cars. Thanks again guys for your input.

As long as it fixes it. If they warp again within 10k miles though I would make them replace the rotors.
