I'd just be happy to have the full Nav Functions. If you're looking to watch 'Gone in 8 Seconds"

as your doing 70 down the Highway... that's about as much time as you might actually have.

I was really referring to using Nav but assumed whatever modification worked would work for both.

On the Cadillac SRX with Nav system, you can enter a PIN number in the diagnostic mode that will override the DVD in motion software. Does anyone know if this is possible with the Lexus Nav system?

Yes, it can be done. You need to remove the handbrake ("e-brake") and short-circuit (ie, tie together the two ends of) a small wire in there that allows the DVD to play in the front screen when the hand-brake is lifted. When short-circuited, the DVD thinks that the e-brake is pulled and plays on the front screen. Fairly easy to do (but I am not really proposing doing it since it means an unsafe operation the vehicle :-))

...and the fact that it's illegal in some states (California for one).

I really don't think it's such a great idea for people to be watching DVDs while cruising at 70 on the freeway.
