Mystery Nuts And Bolts In The Trunk

Hi,

Been dealing with a leak in the trunk of my '97 LS400 and previous threads have been helpful and also explained the mystery co axial cable that I found BUT I also found 9 nuts with captive washers lying around and 9 bolts protruding through the floor in the higher sections on each side (not the well for the spare), 4 on one side and 5 on the other. Any ideas?

I'm missing a nut.......................one of them might be mine...............

Hi,

It didn't have a towbar fitted at some time perhaps that's since been removed

If they are 10MM, the may be for the engine under-cover - and somehow ended up in the trunk. I just bought 4 new bolts to replace some missing on mine.

the bolts are used as mounts for things such as air suspension and cell phone connections to the body.
