  1. My vote would go to JPImports as well, and I'm a 5-hour drive from them each-way.
  2. 5.9 quarts with a filter change.
  3. Was it running properly before the timing belt replacement?
  4. Wouldn't you simply disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few seconds, then reconnect?
  5. Was it OEM or from a parts house?
  6. Have a friend in Bend named Kevin Nolan.... Real estate appraiser.
  7. Put a low-output charger on both of them while stored. Battery Tender will not overcharge. Just be sure the battery is full of distilled water. I've left mine on this way for up to a year at a time. Just saying....
  8. Since a 1998 LS400 takes 5.9 quarts (with filter change), it would sound strange for the later model engine to take only 4.8. But, that's the total of my $.02 about knowledge of the 2002 LS430. Sorry.
  9. This may or may not help, but I would remove the negative battery cable for a few minutes and then reconnect. Just my $.02.
  10. Just my guess, but I think he is referring to the rubber gasket which surrounds the outer perimeter of the thermostat. Be sure the one you put in had this in place.
  11. Hi, tech3... Welcome aboard. I haven't had the same experience you describe, but have read of some generally similar problems from a bad O-ring on the gas cap. Have also seen references to replacing the gas cap to correct the problem. Just my #0.02. I notice you are in my favorite city, but don't see your year model in the profile. Helps to identify year and mileage.
  12. What country are you in? There was never a "tow package" available for any LS here in the USA although there was in many other countries. I doubt if any sort of "tow package" fan clutch would be available here. You may be right about the "tow package", but dpellet is right that there is the option when ordering a fan clutch. I encountered the same thing in March of this year.
  13. From reading on here, I believe you have just put on OEM. Try the Search function and see if GR-2 KYB is not the OEM strut for this car.
