Cold Air Intake

And anyone reccomend a place to go to buy a decent cold air intake for my SC 300? The ones on ebay look sorta *BLEEP*ty, didnt know if there are any good sites or stores that sell good ones. Thanks.

i would personally save the money man, you can spend 200+$ on a injen intake and gain 5hp. or you can spend 200$on something else like LS400 calipers or other upgrades. just a thought.

There is not one good CAI on ebay for lexus. Do a search on BFI intake. It is a custom DIY intake mod which is better than anything you can buy without FI. All those short ram intakes are for looks and sound and actually degrade performance. Nuff said.....................

i also have a problem with cold air intakes... i cant find one! for some reason every performance parts website i go to doesnt have one for my year... i have a 97 sc 300 and all i can find intakes for are the 92-95 models.... can somebody direct me to a site where i can get a good intake for my year sc

aww yeah

That k&n intake is not a CAI. All you gain with short ram intakes like that is throttle sound , And you will lose mpg. The idea is to get air from the outside of the engine bay. Custom BFI is the way to go.

i would have to agree..save ur money for something else and do the bfi mod. the gain is about the same, if not better than some cai.
