i have a 98 gs300 just turned 90k, i am planning on trading the car in about 6-7 months, should i bother chaning the timing belt.

Haha, what are you trading it for? If you have never done a timing belt I would do ti for the expirience.

Find out how much does it cost to replace the timing belt. According to the manual, it recommends changing at 90K. If you plan to sell it yourself, change it and it will be marketable for the prospective buyer. It is not worth changing it if you plan to trade in.
