  1. Yeah good idea to check the connections. I doubt your battery woudl die in one day because of a bad alternator, but you never know. hopefully it's not an internal motor problem
  2. Are you sure it's the fuel pump and not anything, sound sweird it would all the sudden start happening to two different pumps.
  3. Ii'd say try to remove anything you can that will get the spring out. One time I had trouble getting the struts off the control arm so I just had to remove the whole damn hub assembly with the strut, sucked but it's what I had to do. mayeb try that pbbuster stuff.
  4. Not sure but maybe put some sticky !Removed! tape on it and pull it out, or pry it.
  5. Or buy an aftermarket actuator on ebay for 10 :P That's what I got and it's going strong for a while now.
  6. Alot of kits you will find are only fiberglass, even the expensive japanese ones, that's just how it is. If you're careful and you aren't slammed to the ground then it won't matter. But a lot of people buy the cheap ones on ebay, and most of the time the fitment will be off, but most kits don't fit perfect, which is why someone from a shop will need to fix it (or yourself). A pro can mak ea *BLEEP*ty kit look nice though.
  7. Nice job, at first It hought this thread was about a mercedes headlight conversion on a gs...O_O
  8. One questions, why are you trying to burn your tires?Maybe you should put it into 1st gear and try, i'd think it'd be hard in d4 or whatever.
  9. Never trust a mechanic, but yeah have him show you that they are messed up. Quick goole search pulled up results for 2000 gs300 ball joints, so I assume you can buy them aftermarket. Is it lower or upper. personally I wouldn't drive it, the ball joint basically holds your suspension together, if it goes then everything crumbles and you crash.
  10. Haha, what are you trading it for? If you have never done a timing belt I would do ti for the expirience.
  11. sounds strange, maybe the lock actuator is unplugged, broken? I would remove the door panel and investigate further. Hopefully it's not an electrical problem, although timight be since you were expiriencing other problems when locking/unlocking.
  12. Fuel filter? Maybe you should run some seafoam through your motor, it works wonders.
  13. Get the one with the best warranty/price combo.
  14. ^ just what I was gonna say. No need to replace the rad. unless it's leaking or effed up. Check all your hoses first, maybe your water pump is dead, cracked radiator hose, anything. Start the car up and look around and you'll find the leak.
  15. Ever think maybeyou have a bad battery? Has your battery been drained and charged a lot before?
  16. How do you know that the brake lights are good if they aren't working? did you swap in a new set to test?
  17. Yea sounds liek you got a wiring issue, bump for some help.
  18. Haha nice pic, but check out CL, they'll be able to help you more.
  19. Check your belt and see if there is any wear. Better safe then sorry I guesse. Because you got some time and it may not be needed, why not try to do it yourself over a weekend or something :P
  20. What pioneer deck do you have? Personaly if you want to keep your head unit, i'd get a modulator. I use this pyle one, it's hard wired and only cost 25 bucks on amazon and works perfect, near cd quality (search amazon for pyle dvd fm modulator).
  21. I'd swap in the jdm motor, but it's possible to convert yoru auto to manual, anything is possible. you just need a lot of time and money. In my opinion it's not worth it, just find a manual and swap a motor.
  22. Sorry i don't hav ea specific answer, but if you say the motor moves and goes up and down, and the window doesn't move, then that means the window isn't attached to the regulator/motor assmebly. I'd assume it's held to the tracks by a couple bolts, hard to tell from your pics though. Can you push and pull the window up and down freely?
  23. I don't really know what that is but I know your engine needs air to run, and is constantly sucking air in, so it doesn't seem to weird. Feel around to see if you can feel a leak. Try this, get some carb cleaner and put one of those long wd40 type straw things on it and spray it around that area. If the idle goes up then you got a leak (pretty sure, this works on hondas).
  24. If you put in coolant, and it's disappearing, then it's obviously a leak. When you saw steam the first time, how hot did the temp gauge register? Turn your car on, turn the heat on full blast, and open the hood and see if you can't tell where it's leaking.
  25. Do a custom setup, like magnaflow with some 3 inch piping.
