Gentlemen,

Thank you for all the great posts here. I have 1990 LS 400, and my intrument panel is not light up.

Before this post I searched if someone has any sugestion, but everything here is only about 1993 LS400 and up.

Please, do you know how to fix problem with on 1990 or perhaps 1991 LS 400?

Thank you for your help.

does it change with the weather? Do they work when its hot outside? Has it ever done this before? Are your needles lit?

Thank you OmarG for your response.

Lights stoped working two weeks ago. They do not work in NY weather, and didn't work in GA where I was last week.

The needles are not lit, and this happened for the first time. (I bought this car back in 1999)

dcfish thank you for your response. I would like to repair lights myself. The only problem is, I can't find out which capacitors I have to change on 1990 LS 400. There is planty info about 93-94 models, and numbering on 1990 LS in different.

Mike,

I would just change all the caps while you're at it. It doesn't take that long when you already have the cluster out. I did all the caps in my '91 and it fixed the fuel needle not going up all the way after a fill up problem. My lights were also starting to take a while to light up, especially in cold Minnesota winters. I have extra caps and info somewhere in my house but I would have to dig it all out and that might take a while... :whistles:

go to www.lexls.com and look at the lighting section, you will find a fix there.
