thesaintjim
Has anyone towed the limit of 3500 lbs on your 400h? I found a boat that with trailer and boat weight came to a close 3450 lbs! I know it can pull it fine, but I am more worried when I am pulling it out on the wet loading ramp... Thanks, James
Rx330driver
i believe the tow hitch limit is 3000 pounds...but thats probably just a safety sticker, it could probably go way more than that. and if im wrong...call me and ill help you pick up the peices of your bumper and stuff. Liability-wise, that wouldn't be a good move on their part.
bikeandsail
The 3500 lb limit is with trailer brakes. I believe limit is 2000 lbs without. I have several thousand miles with about a 1500 lb lboat oad and no trailer brakes. Except for killing the gas mileage pulls fine. cruznroadking
The trailer hitch offered for thr RX's are Class 2, so it has a 3500 LB limit.
thesaintjim
Oh, heh..good thing I read this thread. I almost bought a 3400lb boat today! I guess I will buy another jet ski instead of a boat. Thanks..

Thanks.. Just get a boat like mine, it pulls just fine and weighs about 2000 pounds with the trailer. XB2002 (20foot) Allison with a 260 Merc outboard. It looks real cool behing the Lexus and will run 100+ MPH on the water. You will love it. Bob

Every other boat is around 4000 lbs. I actually ended up buying a MB SLK 280 instead, heh. Talk about a 180! I just figured I could get more use out of the car than the boat. That will be next years purchase.. Thanks for all your thoughts
