  1. I has a new 6 speed transmission. I just test drove it the other day & the transmission operation is quite improved over previous models.
  2. The trailer hitch offered for thr RX's are Class 2, so it has a 3500 LB limit.
  3. The window motor needs to be retimed. They're going to have to remove the door panel, then the regulator to retime the motor. Bring it to the dealer.
  4. I had me dealer install Clear Armour over a year & half ago & it's holding up great. No rock chips or paint fade. I felt that it was money well spent.
  5. Check with your local dealer if they have a vendor that does spot repairs on leather. They may be able to repair your dash as well. I had a crack on the center console repaired on a LS400 I use to own & was told by the service advisor that they can repair door panels & dashes as well.
  6. Called brake pad shift . This is a normal condition. Other cars do this as well.
  7. Most of the transmission issues were AWD 99 & 2000 models. I wouldn't worry about the transmissions on the laster models.
  8. Disconnect the DVD then see if it makes a difference.
  9. Check the spark plugs as well. Sometimes water gets into the spark plug galleys & the causes the engine toarc & misfire.
  10. What the dealer is refering to is a called a multiple lease. Ask the dealer how much you need to deposit to get the monthly payment you want & yes you do get the deposit back at the end of the lease. I went for the multiple lease on my current because I wanted the Nav option. Have them explain it to you & it should make more sense. LOL
  11. I just saw the LS460 at the Detroit Auto Show & it looks even better in person. They had the long wheel base model on display as well as the new GS450H Hybrid.
  12. I had a BMW 6 seris that was lowered as well & at the time there was a company that sold a camber kit for the rear which allowed you to get the camber closer to factory specs. Forgot the name of the company. Check with some of the aftermarket suspension manufacturers. LOL
  13. I've been going to Lexus of Serramonte for many years. They have a very friendly & knowledgeable staff. RX330driver, who do to see in service? I been using Gary for quite a while, he's why I keep bringing my car back there for service. Gary is the epitome of customer service.
  14. Denso manufactures the nav systems. Not sure about street info. Try contacting Denso first.
  15. I wouldn't buy a car from out of the country. What's your recourse if something should go wrong?? I'm sure you can find something much closer to home.
  16. Keep in mind that these car are drive by wire. Could it be a hesitation due to the how the computor is controlling the transmission & not slippage??
  17. My local dealer charges $545. They sent me a service reminder with a $100.00 discount on major services, so I paid $445. They told me if the trans fluid is replaced every 15,000 miles tranny flushes are not necessary.
  18. I checked with my friend that works at the local Lexus dealer & he said that it's only an issue on IS250 AWD models. Is yours an AWD?
  19. If you own an earlier LS 90-94, check the wire harness on the left side of the trunk. There is a wire in that harness that breaks. You'll need to unravel the covering so that you can inspect the wires. This happened to a 90LS I owned. LOL
  20. The dealer is correct regarding the brake sensor. Once they touch the rotors you can't use them amy more & the brake light onnthe dash stays on. They cost about $65 per sensor. 20-30,000 mile is average life expectancy for brakes on LS models.
  21. Ipod Nano & accessories for my Harley. Great Christmas this year
  22. Keep in mind also that with the cold weather, it takes the engine longer to warm up & get to normal operating temperature. That's where some of your gas mileage is going.
  23. Check if the A/C discharge hose is disconnected. It's attached to the evaporator & runs through the firewall & discharges condensation from the evap. If it's loose or came off, condensation could be leaking on the carpet. LOL
