Side Mirrors?

Is there any way to program the side mirrors, so they do not tilt down when you put the car into reverse? Since most of my parking is not street parking, I find myself having to bend over or tilt my head down to see behind me (as well as using the camera rather than the mirrors).

I know you can get the dealer to program it but have you tried just changing the position of the left/right selector?

No, but I am not sure the left/right selector effects that function, but I will check it out.

It is not one of the dealer adjustable features I received on my list, but I will ask them too at the next service.

if you open up the compartment where those switches are hidden to adjust the side mirrors, you can deselect the mirror light. right now there should be one light on either the Left or Right side....whichever side is lit just hit that button again to deselect the light so neither light is lit.

this should prevent the mirrors from adjusting down when u go in reverse.

Wow.........thanks, that was easy. I am glad I asked.

It seems that with both lights off, it works the way I want.

If I want them to tilt down, all I do is hit the one that I want to tilt, while I am in reverse. If I want both down, I hit the "R" switch on.

This does not seem well explained in the manual.
