Supra-chargedIS340 Posted April 21, 2002 Posted April 21, 2002 if you have changed them what make/model did you use?
SolarIS Posted April 22, 2002 Posted April 22, 2002 I haven't changed mine yet. But when I do I'm going to go with Alpine. Great product and not too expensive. My roomate play around with his car stereo all the time and so far this is the best sounding speakers that he had (MB quarts is not bad either except it blew up on him twice).
gompka Posted June 22, 2002 Posted June 22, 2002 There are alot of things that can determine what kind of speakers you want to buy. For example how much money you want to spend, what kind of speakers you want etc. For good sound quality you will want to go with a pair of component speakers. I am currently using image dynamics chameleons in my car (not a lexus) and i love them. Go to www.imagedynamicsusa.com and check them out, remeber that component speakers can sound alot better than stock but you will need an amplifier for them something around 100 watts x 2. Also you can go to www.elitecaraudio.com you will find all you need to know and get all of your questions answered there quickly.
Rodders Posted June 23, 2002 Posted June 23, 2002 Mat - I used MB Quartz component woofer / tweeters in the front and Kicker duals in the back - very happy with the results.
Supra-chargedIS340 Posted June 23, 2002 Author Posted June 23, 2002 lol........not realy info for me,it was to get the threads started,i will be using Dynaudio in the doors and rear and through a amp powering either 1 or 2 kicker solobaric L7 in the boot(trunk)
Rodders Posted June 23, 2002 Posted June 23, 2002 Cool!! - are you gonna install an extra alternator or tow a small power station in a trailer?? - knowing you it's gonna be BIG and LOUD!!!!
Supra-chargedIS340 Posted June 23, 2002 Author Posted June 23, 2002 ..............just waiting to find an importer for Dynadio...... gotto make sure i can still get the kiddy buggy in afterwards though :?

systempimp_1500 Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 id go with components if i were you............forget the alpines, theyre ok, but if i were id go with crystal audio, or infinity perfect components..........they're awesome for the money...........
alexwilo Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 I want to replace the 10" sub in my 99 GS300. Does anyone have photos of the aftermarket install and how well it went. Were there any problems that you ran across upon installing your new components. I am thinking of going with a 10" free air JL sub powered by an Orion 100X2 and 4 MB Quartz coaxs in the doors powered with an Xtant A4004 4-channel amp.
AG Expert Posted February 28, 2003 Posted February 28, 2003 I have run many setups in my Lexus cars. I have used Alpine, Kicker, JL Audio, MMATS, Eclipse, and many more. systempimp_1500, yes, the Crystal CMP's are good for the money. I was impressed when I heard them.
LadyLexRX Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I replaced all door speakers with Boston Acoustics, also have a box with 2 10" JBL's. Sounds better than stock!
