  1. You guys are funny. Water on the engine will not harm anything. I called the dealership once with that question and they laughed and said it's only a car, water won't hurt it. I sprayed my engine down with degreaser and sprayed it at the car wash. It looks great and runs even better. The dealership was going to charge me $30 bucks for the same thing.
  2. Gserep1, $32k is too much for a GS3 with that much mileage. I bought my 1999 @ 36,000 miles with factory warranty for $27,500 from a dealership here in Atlanta that buys there cars off of lease directly from Lexus just like a Lexus dealership does. I love my Triple GS to death.
  3. Front Doors Speaker Opening Size = 5 1/4" Speaker Depth = 3" Rear Doors Speaker Opening Size = 6 1/2" Speaker Depth = 3" I found this information on www.mobiletoys.com. Can anyone who has replaced their speakers with aftermarket speakers confirm this? B)
  4. Tom, Would you happen to have any info on the size of speakers in the doors of the 1999 GS300? I am attempting to upgrade my stock system with some new Diamond Audio separates, a JL 10" sub and an Orion Amp and a Diamond Audio amp.
  5. Check out the following website or call them and they may be able to assist you. http://carstereohelp.com/stereoremoval.htm. They list car stereo removal for most of the major domestic and foriegn cars. Good luck.
  6. I am in the process of upgrading my system in my 1999 gs300 and I wanted to know if anyone else had replaced their speakers in the doors and if so what year and model was their car and what size speakers did you use.
  7. I want to replace the 10" sub in my 99 GS300. Does anyone have photos of the aftermarket install and how well it went. Were there any problems that you ran across upon installing your new components. I am thinking of going with a 10" free air JL sub powered by an Orion 100X2 and 4 MB Quartz coaxs in the doors powered with an Xtant A4004 4-channel amp.
  8. B) I just got a new remote for my triple GS. I bought the car and they only had the valet key available. I order the remote from Lexus which was about $280 plus $30 for programming the key. My only problem was that I did not have a master key remote to program the new key, so I ended up having to have the computer replaced that controls the ignition and the alarm which ran about $4000. Luckily, Lexus allows for a one time replacement of the computer for FREE.
