does anyone know if they make them for the 98ls and from where?

you might wanna check the dealer!? at a recent visit i saw a add for headrests w/ tv's for the 96+ straight from the factory so they might make mirrors with the signals also

Those headrests are not from the factory atleast not toyota's .

It is an aftermarket unit that replaces the original headrest.

You would be suprised how many headrest have the exact same rod lengths and widths.

In regard to the signal mirrors you would need to get them custom installed. Either using another housing placed over yours or cutting the existing housing and have a body shop fill them in to fit flush

would the wiring be a problem? i saw somewhere on the web a couple of months ago they were advertising MB type mirrors for the ls,i just cant remember where

Wiring is very simple ,it just means you need to remove the door panel to run the wiring down the door into the car to the signal wiring.

It is only 2 wires.
