appdev72 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 I really like the new IS from the front. Not too sure about the rear. Maybe it would look better and sportier with a spoiler. Has anyone seen any pics of the rear with a spoiler?
MagicMtnDan Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 $46,000 puts it too close to the GS. Check this out: http://www.thecarconnection.com/Vehicle_Re...S184.A8929.html
lexus411 Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 it will top out just under $44,000 with all options. It will be like the GS 430 , with basically one equiptment level {loaded} across the country.
pushatam Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 hi, i was just wondering what everyone's opinion was about the new IS versus the new 3 series. duh this is a lexus forum so most likely the general concensus is lexus over bmw but i was wondering why the new IS over the new 3 series? (relevant to value and pricing) im asking because i am looking to trade in my gas guzzling rx for a sport compact
bartkat Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Crude and complicated Teutonicism vs Japanese refinement. IMHO
bartkat Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 Some guys from MYIS got to do a press test drive of a IS250 and a IS350 in California. Here are the pics. http://photobucket.com/albums/b209/Lex_Dymndz/? Here's their writeup. http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=263130

bartkat Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 wow....new IS is kinda expensive ← 2005 IS300 MSRP: $29,735 - $31,105
Go4Shoped Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 this is more my type. not exactly the best chop but you get the idea.
ska Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 wow....new IS is kinda expensive ← 2005 IS300 MSRP: $29,735 - $31,105 ← yea, but the 2006 IS250 is around $37000 and IS350 $45000 loaded...
Blue Batmobile Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I'm hoping a 6 speed manual will be available on 2007 for the IS350. Bat™
bartkat Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 wow....new IS is kinda expensive ← 2005 IS300 MSRP: $29,735 - $31,105 ← yea, but the 2006 IS250 is around $37000 and IS350 $45000 loaded... ← I gave the base prices. For comparison purposes, one should also use the new IS base prices. I think the IS250 price will compare favorably with a similarly equipped IS300. Of course the 350 will be higher as it should be considered the "high performance" version.
lexus411 Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 The 6 speed manual they are using on the IS 250 is the one currently use in the Tundra. I think once they re-design there own we will see more of it.
