Really, you should be able to replace this filter yourself. Open the glove box, remove the clip to the filter, remove the filter, put in the nice new clean filter you bought (for way less than the dealer charges) at Napa or some other place down the road. Put the clip back, and close the glove box. A filter is supposed to be a consumable item. I replaced the cabin filter in my 1999 RX 300 for the first time today. I bought the filter for $25 at the local Toyota dealership -- told them I needed the cabin filter for a 2003 Highlander. I'm now determined to replace this filter annually. It is so easy and cheap, I might as well. By the way, the old filter really smelled disgusting. GAguitar Posted July 5, 2005 Share Posted July 5, 2005 I changed the cabin air filter in my 01' RX300 myself this weekend. It took only 20 minutes to do and was very easy. They are $16.60 each INCLUDING shipping. They'll be here Friday! I now order all the needed parts from trademotion.com now. They are Park Place Lexus in Plano, Texas. In the past 2 weeks I've ordered 3 " dogbone " engine mounts for my neighbors and I from trademotion.com.
