of all of them the viper is the best( direct electronics)

do not worry abuot product pricing it is the install which will out last the alarm and cause more or less problems.

You do not need a bypas system just a good installer to hook the alarm up properly to not arm the stock alarm so it can autostart withouth setting the oem alarm off by using the alarm sens wire for locking and unlocking of the doors.

Why do you want a remote starter kyle? They are a huge waste of fuel & if the car idle's for a pro-longed period of time, it's very bad for the engine, emissions & such.......I'd take a block heater over a remote starter any day & it's a much easier & cheaper item to install to boot. Just my 2 cent's. B)

plus its not like im starting it and leaving it for a while. its for little things like in the mornings its really cold and 5 minutes b4 i leave i have to start my car to warm it up and so its atleast bearable inside the car.

How is it bad for the engine freak?

I know nothing being bad of them except for propganda of people who don;t have them .

I would not get the magic

Of all of them i would only get the viper, it all depends on who is working at the store

preferable go to an high end audio store

you pay more for what yuou get

i have a a clifford with lifetime warr and labour but i got lots of additional options and payed good money for it

it is a garbage taiwan (china) knock off

well yea i know that, but i mean is it really that much worse just b\c of that?As long as it gets the job done without breaking i dont really care.......unless you guys know of it breaking alot or something....

the reason i say this is b\c the viper one doesnt have an lcd or anything. but the expensive one does but its out of my budget for this mod..... b\c instalation will prabably be another 50 bucks....

I had my remote starter installed at Bestbuy and it's more to the tune of $150 (not $50 ur thinking) installation charge. I chose Bestbuy bc it's also lifetime warranty on labor as long you own the car and also you can take the car to any Bestbuy store if there are any problems. But you want to find a veteran experienced installer not some kid working there for the discounts. I've never had any engine problems using the remote starter for the few years I've had it. One advice against the remotes with all the cool little lcd graphics tho.. be prepared to have a spare AAA battery around. Nothing like being locked out of your car with a cartful of groceries due to a drained battery on your cool lcd remote..

the biggest difference it the cheap alarm will have more occasions to leave you pressing the crap at the side of the car trying to get in and start it

oh so your saying that it wouldnt work as well, well im sorta used to it i guess. with my key sometimes i have to stand there like 10 seconds tryint get my door to open. And YES i am too lazy to actually put the key inside the door to unlock it.

have you tried changing the battery out of the key fob? do both master keys have difficulty remote locking/unlocking? sounds like a weak key fob battery.

for my remote starter: once engine started, unlock doors with remote.. close door & put key in and turn to ON position.. then press on brake pedal.. then ur good togo. (has to be in that specific order)

called my local best buy and they wont install it unless i buy it from them. they say its company plicy. damn:(

clostest area around here that can install it is 25 miles and they iwll for 150-180 bucks. i guess thats ok,but not too happy bout it.

is there any possible way for self install with the help of a person that knows alot about cars.... or is this one of those things that its a very bad idea to do yourself.

a first tiem installer should stick with simpl things like foglight ad basic 12vdc and ground connections

not probing wires with a multmeter looking for door lock actuator wires positive and negative as well as acc start and run positions

leave it to an expert as well as a store that currently sells them ,each alarm is different and they all have their own special techniques for install

yea got you on that. i was jsut wondering b\c its a lil sad dropping more money on instalation then the system itself.

basically it comes down to

you get what you pay for

it is not a diy /shadtree job their is alot of technical expertise to install it for 3 hours

you buy a cheap alarm and you will get cheap alarm problems

soooo

all in all

spend atleast 150 to install it and another 250-300 for a good one

if not don;t say omeone didn;t tell you so.
