Em91 Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Hello everybody. Yesterday I told everybody about my problem with the power steering control valve and the engine sucking up all of the power steering fluid. Well anyway the car is running really bad and the check engine light came on. It is stalling allot and not running right. I ran a diagnostic and got a code 31 "air flow meter. Has anybody experienced this problem with the air flow meter and the car running really bad. Please advise thanks. :cries:
99lsguy Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Besides the need for a new valve, you could try and plug the vacuum lines that run into the valve cover - to prevent the PS fluid from shooting end. Then unhook your battery (neg) for a few minutes to reset the engine code. YOu may have to run the LS for a while and "blow out" the gunk. Maybe even have to unhook battery again in case the code comes back.... A temp fix till you get the air control valve......
