chrispiss Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Hey I don't have an owner's manual or anything for my 93 es300, and I searched on here and found nothing..I just installed silverstars and now the aim for the left headlight is all screwed up, the low beam points way lower than the driver's side. is there a manual adjustment thing somewhere? On my old civic there was a bolt you could tighten or loosen that would move the headlights up/down but I couldn't find anything on my car...any help would be appreciated!
dropspace Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 look on top of the headlight. you will see a bubble that you can use for leveling. the actual bolts that modify up/down and left/right are sticking out the back of the headlamp assembly.
SKperformance Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 you move the boltsbut be careful as moving it too far will crack the adjuster and they will be permantly out of wack. try reintalling the bulb it may not be seated properly,.
chrispiss Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 yeah I'm gonna try to reinstall the bulb again when I get a chance..it's the low beam in front of the battery. what a horrible place for the battery, they couldn't have put it in 1" further back? oh well. I'm guessing now that it's just the bulb isn't in straight because the high beam is aligned fine, just the low beam is aimed at like a 45 degree angle towards the ground.
dropspace Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 when i got my car both of those alignment gauges were cracked by the previous owner... so i just adjusted them the old fashioned way and did it out in the street at night.
