I purchase a 1997 Lx 450 in nice shape but notice the headliner has some spotted stains like coffee, soda or something. I tried cleaning it but still there I do not want to use something that will damage the headliner in the cleaning process.

Any advice is welcome.

I have used woolite carpet cleaner. You spray it on and it turns into foam, then you wipe off with a large damp spunge. Have a warm bucket of water near by to rinse.

Worked great for me.

Headliners are really hard, you have to be sure not to get them too wet as that can lead to them falling down over time. I'd start with a foaming clenser like mentioned above and see how that works.

The dealer uses a dry system. I had them clean a few spots, and it turned out great. I would check and see what they use.
