    • Hi Alice! Google Gemini's answer was: QUOTE - Yes, your Lithium-ion batteries can hold their charge for long periods, but there are a few things to keep in mind:   Storage Level: It's best to store them at around 40-60% charge. Storing them fully charged or completely discharged can damage the battery over time.     Temperature: Cool, dry places are ideal for storage. Extreme temperatures can accelerate degradation.       Self-Discharge: Even when not in use, lithium-ion batteries experience a slow self-discharge. This means that over extended periods, the battery will lose some of its charge. END QUOTE Older Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries found in earlier Toyota hybrids would loose charge quicker when not in use. I have a brother who leaves his Ford Hybrid in Nebr. during the winter and he claims that isn't a problem, which surprised me.
    • Most recently I had to change out my 2 cv axles..The other day i was driving and the left side stabilizer arm lost a nut and swung around and tore my driver side cv boot. Now I went to get a replacement and because it was leaking from the Right entrance axle I replaced the seal that goes in on the passenger side.  Now it is grinding when I put it in drive. I'm not sure if I overfilled or underfilled the fluid but should I take it all out and take a look at how much is in there? it Is not drivable at this point. Also right before this happened when I would drive on curves a sensor would go off like beeping sound then it started to almost brake as I went around the curves as I accelerated. Anyone have any idea what could be going on. Thanks
    • My Lexus RX350 2017 is not starting properly. A few days ago, I was driving, and the screen went purple and then black and reset to normal. After driving home we had a snow storm and so I did not use it for two days. On  the third day it started right away and I was able to drive it but at the end of the day it did not restart. First I replaced the battery on the key fob. That did not help. Then I jump started. This worked and I was able to drive home but when I turned off the engine I could not turn it on again immediately following turning it off. Thoughts on what the problem could be? Thanks!

    • We recently bought our first ever hybrid car. not thinking that we would be away for the winter. We always use trickle charge on the 12V battery, no problem. I need advice as to what to do with the hybrid battery, or do nothing? any advice is appreciated
