slstsang Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Hi All, where is the IACV located? can someone snap a pic for me so that i can clean it our myhself? is it hard to take it apart?
oldrx300 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Hi, Did you able to find a picture of IACV? I'm looking for it myself, just wonder if you already found it. Thank you.
amf1932 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 The IACV is located under the throttle body so it would be pretty tough to shoot a photo. Personally, I never tried to remove this valve, but it was suggested that you should remove the throttle body to gain easier access. Maybe SK can help.....he's constantly ripping apart his engine. hehehe
oldrx300 Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Found it. Took out the 2 air intake hoses and the IACV locates right under them. I took out the two screws and cleaned the inside with the throttle body cleaner. The problem went away, so here is the pictures I took (IACV is the black piece with the two screws, one of them has the yellow dot on it). Thank you.
SKperformance Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 hmm ,now we have a pic,i thopught someone else posted a complete one with pics as well a bit ago. I don;t rip my engine apart ever, thank goodness

I would like to clean out the IACV but would like some info on the specific setup I have.
camlex Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Long time ago, somebody posted how to check IACV. Test port next to radiator cap, short TE1 and E1 and rpm runs fast your IACV is working properly. Hope that helps.
Bk4293 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Actually on the 92 ES300 it's a bit simpler than that. It's located on the intake manifold near the throttle body (Since the original poster has a 92 ES 300. But hopefully he found it by now.....Five years later... :P 2 bolts (12mm I believe) and a bunch of hoses. IACV Intake Air Control Valve $370.00 at your local Autozone
cales300 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Heres a pic of the TB on my 97,it doesnt look as easy to remove as the one pictured earlear in this thread... And here is what I was thinking might be the IACV? Has anyone cleaned or replaced one on a 97?

Can this valve be cleaned, and if so, are their any special instructions or do I just spray it with carb cleaner.
