  1. The GX is NOT based on the 4runner. i know that the stupid consumer reports and other magazines say it is, but it isn't It's based off the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which has been in the market for a while, in Japan and most Asian countries. http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/l.../2002_10/photo/
  2. with my experience with Lexus, I'll be ok to get a first gen of the 400h. I trust them more than any other brand that will introduce the hybrid. huh, that's what i did with my Gx, except it doesn't have the hybrid technology, that's it!
  3. huh? how come my reply got posted 4 times!!!
  4. :( I have a 2003 GX470 with less than a year on it and my left turn signal, (day running light), burned out. I brought it back to Lexus and the service manager told me that it have been an on going problem with the GXs. I hope they find the reason for the early burn outs... Other than the light problem, the GX has been fine. maybe they burn out easily becuz the DRL is also the turn signal, which of course we have to use, so it puts so much stress on that one bulb (for each side). look at the other lexus vehicles, haven't seen an Rx, Lx(01s and newer),Ls,Es(some models),Gs,Is,Sc, with burned out DRLs, becuz their DRLs (for some that are equipped with them) are the bright light bulb (which of course we rarely use becuz it's illegal to drive with bright lights at night).

  8. hehe, all i recommend is that u get a Lexus! lol . now it really depends what u need the SUV for to know which one is right for you.
  9. They better do so!! I think of the wood grain as something that would make a car look expensive and make the owner look very "wealthy"! lol .
  10. AHHHH! :chairshot: I hope Lexus still continues to use Woodgrains in their future vehicles, cuz if they want to use the silver to make it loook futuristic, well, that's one thing i wouldn't like about their futuristic vehicles. :cries:
  11. Range Rover, nope. From ur list, I would only recommend : Rx300,Rx330,Fx45, and 03 Gx470.
  12. well here's my opinion: 03 Range Rover-cheap quality cuz it's owned by Ford 03 Cayenne- saw one on the road dead a couple months ago 04 Rx330-good suv, but you could wait a while to see how the Rx400h will perform 04 Fx45- don't know much about it, seems like a good performance car(i don't like the design) 01 X5-CHEAP CHEAP QUALITY!!!! Talked to someone that says that you buy the car only for good performance, otherwise, everything is cheap quality. 01 Rx300- Very Very good. I would highly recommend! 03 Gx470- REALLY REALLY Recommend becuz the 04 has a new problem that the 03 doesn't have, which is the new KDSS suspension that Lexus included in the 04s, which some 04 Gx owners complained that it causes their Gx to lean to the left. Although in short, the Gx has 3 main defects (even the 04s gots them) but will be easy to fix (just consult with me if you get a GX) because the dealers have already practiced fixing the problems on Gxs like mine! Well hope that helps!
  13. thanx a lot bro, but I'm the "dumb" person when it comes 2 html codes, could u help me? if u can, imma go give u my screen name and a temporary password.
  14. so do u still plan 2 replace it??
  15. can anyone help me insert HTML coding for myspace.com profile? like can anyone do the coding for background color, and background music? any help is appreciated! if someone will help me, i'll give him/her my screen name there, and a temporary password. thanx in advance!
  16. there should be an IM feature here, like on myspace.com so we can like chat with each other whoevers on, good idea?????
  17. hey anyone with an Lx, can u post about how many miles before you replaced ur original tires? cuz i'm estimating around 20-25k, cuz i changed my Rx300 tires around 28k, or does it just depend on the brand of tires? the Rx300 has original Goodyear Integritiy which i said, lasted about 28k. The ones i have on my gx are Michelin Cross Terrains.
  18. the only reason that i would one day downgrade to the rx400h or get it is becuz of the fact that it's a hyrbid SUV. but i have an hunch that it will continue with the future gx and lx so we'll just see how the Rx400h will go!
  19. The terms GPM will be used by Honda or Toyota if they start making airplanes!! That's how they measure how much gas an airplane consumes.
  20. the hottest i set mine is about 78 during winter. I'm kinda like "Cold Blooded" during winter cuz I dnt easily get cold.
  21. go to DuPont, I think. That's wat my bodyshop used when they repaired my Rx300 from the accident. They did a good job gettin the 2nd lower color matched like original, so good, at any angle u couldn't tell the difference in the color, unlike the cars of other ppl that u can see sometimes where the accident was becuz the color wasn't matched perfectly.
  22. oh, ok, thanx! I nvr knew that Tar Remover can remove it. Yeah someone told me that an ice cube should do it, which didnt and just made another marking (which duhhh, i should have known from past car washes! ). aight, thanx again!
  23. u guys are true about the fact that the 1st gen is most of the time, the "Problematic" one. But the fact that Toyota/Lexus are pursuing hybrid in the Suvs is very enticing! I personally will risk it if I were to buy an Rx in the future. Huh, since i went for it with the Gx, I would go for it for the RX400h! Besides, the problems in the Gx weren't fixed in the 2nd gen model (03 Gxs had 2 factory defects, 04s got 3 DEFECTS!!!) :chairshot:
  24. this is the DRL and turn signal (i posted pics so that ppl would know which one we're talking about)
  25. this is the park light
