in South Bay Area (CA) as I wrote already that 10k service cost $400+ for ES330 as result I did it myself. So, it's about your time. And yes, trusted mech. can save you a lot and even can do better / faster then Lexus service will - IMHO, but you will not get free coffe and cookies :whistles:

First - thanks to steviej for so good info at tranny However, I filled 3 Qt. only in "cold" level was higher then it has to be and about in between "cold" and "hot" marks then I run for about 15 - 20mph and 60 mph and checked again. The level was right in "hot" marks zone. Why just 3Qt? Is it normal? I waited above 1 hour for drain to stop dripping. thanks.

I'm trying find any charts / tables that show rolling resistance for dif tires, so far no luck :cries: Consumer Report has some data, but no real numbers I've replaced OEM tires (no on Lexus) with LS-T and MPG dropped about 10% - that's my fact. Yes, I got (on another car) better ride, less noise and less MPG The next time I'll check for MXV's as those have the lowest rolling resistance in its group - IMHO.

Would you comment your car MPG after you put those tires? Please. The LS-x tires have worst rolling resistance around that makes MPG down about 10%. The good part of LS-x is high life. tnx.

Thank you very much - I own you I've already changed Oil Filter followed your and others recommendations :P the next time it will take from me just seconds plus wait time for oil drain. I installed oil valve drain - so just one click and oil drains - no mess / even no needs for glaws Also I rotated tires by using car's jack - it took about 30 min for 5 tires rotations - was very good exersize - no need to go to gym (at work I'm sitting all day long). What is good way to document services I've done? Yes, I keep receits for oil and filters and wrote the record to my service car book. Also I plan to buy a floor jack, but don't know which one. And don't violate warranty terms? Changing oil twice LESS often recoupe 4x oil price diff for Mobil 1 vs. dino. thanks experts for comments.

by the car manual for ES330 - use 86 or higher I've tried 87 and 91 I haven't feel any performance diff. where MPG went up from 23.5 to 24.6 (two weeks average, the same drivings) Now, 91 cost 10% more then 87 and car is getting below 5% MPG economy If manual states to use 87 then why waste money? p.s. I use Techron bottle every 5k ml

in my 2004 owner's manual supplement book it's stated that ATF has to be replaced at 60k!!! if vehicle is operated primarily while towing. That's why I asked that question about 15k. I don't mind to change ATF, but I'd like to comply with schedule maintance and do not void warranty - that's all. Is everyone changing ATF every 15k?

that would be nice if you could return the car back by Lemon Law!!! But, I think that that isn't a problem from Lexus point of view as it runs as designed Also it's so much flustrating as almost every new ES owner discovers the problem after several weeks of use!!!

why Lexus wants change ATF and differential and Ait Filter for 15k? instead for 30k? Any reason doing that twice often? tnx

Thats not a bad idea at all... ← Yes, I agree the idea is very good - but, it's just an idea for a while and some day we may use it That's why I pay for new car all I can then buy used one as it's so hard to tell about was car totalled (new title comes clear from DMV), accident might not be reported and appear in carfax, and etc. I'm not a car pro, so I can't take chances buying used car.

how do you stop at right position on ramps? I have no problem doing that with CR-V (Jeep like cars).

Hello all, what do you use? Floor jack or ramps? I've used ramps for oil change - when ES330 on ramps everything is fine, but ride / put ES330 on rumps kin of scary as ES330 is heavy and can just don't stop at the ramp top - going over it :cries: - that is scary I'm thinking about floor jack for my next oil change. How high floor jack has to go? 15", 17" 19" or more? 14" could be found for $19.99 - but 14" looks like nothing will do to ES330. Which one floor jack you may recommend? thanks.

Hello all, Based on service schedule for 15k service from Lexus and alldata just oil and oil filter have to be replaced and tires rotated. Then, why it cost $440 for 15k service in SF Bay Area? Based on service desc. paper I got from my friend who had it done they replaced in additional: 17801-0H010 ELEMENT Sub - Assy, AI - $26. and 00279-80W90 gear lube - $17.16 (looks like a 3Q) then 00279-000T4-01 ATF - $5 What are those? and what are those for? Yes, I know Lexus can charge any $$$, but for one year service it's kind of too much - IMHO. Thanks for answers.
