Without much knowlege of this and being a former mechanic, my first thought would be a relay might be stuck. I'd love to see the electircal diagrams. It is what I did a lot of, back in the day. (Electrical diagnostics)

Steve, one quick question. I want to clean my leather and would like to try your idea of woolite 5:1 ratio. I notice in of of your post you said to use a wet cloth to wipe it off but you don't say how you put it on. Do you use some sort of brush or do you use a cloth for that also? Thanks! :D

without looking at it I would say it's your high pressure line then your pump you should worry about. The rack is located under the car and I've seen them priced over $300 (not installed). I would have high pressure line done and if you have the $$ to do the pump, do it also.

Hi Wanda: I'm about to do the same and have been told to put the car out in the sun for an hour or so and then use floss or a piece of fishing line. This will cut throught the old double tape and not damage your paint. How much did you spend on ebay and what did you get?

That sure is alot of information about a oil filter. I just check my supply and I still have 4 of the 20004 filters.

I did a quick check on oil filters and it looks like the same oil filter is being used for my '97 LS & '04 Toy. Sienna.

I used the clay bar about 3 weeks ago. WOW, what a differance in the feel of the paint. I thought that I had a fairly clean car until I put my hand in side a plastic bag and felt the nasty grit! It all came off with the clay bar. Next is my wifes mini-van, should take me all day on that one. But it will be worth the results.

Last question, will I need to start all over with the clay then this polish? Or can I just go straight to using the polish? I'll make sure not to use as much car wash soap any more. :whistles:

Hey Dannie, Sounds like a great car and from what I can tell $15k is an okay price. I did a quick search on kbb.com and it came up with just over $16k. I have a '97 with 78k miles and love it, had it for about 4.5 years. I'll be keeping it for another 4-5 unless I hit the lottery. :D

The car should have to problem going another 5 years at 30-40k miles, with proper maintenance.

Hey Steve, I'm using "Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner." I don't mesure how much I use, might be about 1/4 cup to a gallon of water? I did not think that it was possible to use to much soap, guess I'm wrong again.

Thank you for the quick reply, I only put one coat of the polish on. I use Meguiar's Shampoo for washing. I want to get the best possible look on my paint and make it last. If I have to switch products to get it, I am willing to chalk it up to a learning lesson.

Hi Steve: can these polishes be used with more than one aplication? After using one of these polishes, should the next step be using the polish w/carnuba that I got from Poorboy's?

The one thing that I was not impressed with was the lack of that silky feel. It did not seem to last more than 2 weeks. I used to use a product by the name of "Race Glaze", I believe it's a polish. The silky feel lasted at least a month. I thought going through this process it would last longer. Am I wrong?

SW03ES, what can I do after using clay to prep the paint before polishing? Kind of a rookie at this and looking for some input.

:( I bought Poorboy's EX polish w/ carnuba, Sealer w/ carnuba and nasty wax. When through the whole process of washing, claying, washing again, polishing, sealing and finally waxing. The only process that made a big differance was the claying. Claying made the paint feel so much smoother! Polish, sealer and wax did not do much for the look of the paint finish. Kind of disappointed that it did not come out better. I think I'll be switching back to Meguiar's for me.

Can anyone tell me what went wrong? Is there a better product that will get better results with a light color? I think they called my color Silver Mist, more of a light green.

Thank you for your replies. I will check WalMart and see what they are asking. The LOC website is such a great place! I've had my car for almost 5 years now and just found this site about a month ago. Great people and excellent conversation, tips and opinions.

Theodore, my first thought would be to check and make sure that the bulbs are in the correct way. Also make sure they are the correct type of bulb. Hope this helps.

steviej, I'm going to put synthetic oil in my wifes new Toy. Sienna at it's first oil change, in about 2-3 weeks. I plan on sticking with the OEM filter. I notice in one of your posts that you say you stock up when syn. is on sale. What is a sales price on it? I saw Mobile one at costco for around $4 a quart. Thanks for your input.
